#FlattenTheCurve—this is one of the trending hashtags on the Internet. Amid the ongoing crisis and chaos of coronavirus, medical officials are doing everything in their power to slow down the spread of the virus. In the scientific field, it is expressed as flattening the curve—slowing the spread of infection, which can be almost as important as stopping it altogether. Dr. Anthony Fauci, director of the U.S. Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, told people during a White House briefing: “What we need to do is flatten that down. You do that with trying to interfere with the natural flow of the outbreak."
The concept behind "flattening the curve" is simple: if everyone gets infected at the same time, hospitals won't be able to care for all the people who will eventually die without the treatment. So if everyone adheres to the recommendations laid out to avoid spreading the virus and “flatten” the infection numbers on any given day, medics will have a greater chance of giving all patients the help that they need.

And pick up your dog s**t please. My kids don't need to step on it while they are doing their normal walking in one direction but looking to the total opposite.
Ok, here is an important information many ppl seem not to be aware of: Delivery is not done by magic, it is done by actual, breathing ppl who also just want to be save and protect others (WOW, mind blowing!). So PLEASE remember that when you are bored but still too lazy to watch one of the few million online tutorials about how to cook your meals by youself. Same thing with Amazon and others. More deliveries = more danger to spread the virus Sorry, but that bothers me so much So have a nice, chill day on your couch or kitchen and stay save :)
Use technology where possible - most meetings don't need to be face2face.
If you want to support your local restaurants and workers, see if they have delivery options instead.
This is actually something people are asking. Amazing just how obtuse some people can be, isn’t it?
Honestly all basic information that everyone should know by now - but sadly don't.
Yep - the problem with common sense is it's anything but common.
Load More Replies...scary s**t now has reached my state-businesses are closing early (even some 24 hr places) or for 2 wks-30 days. no tp, hand sanitizer, disinfectant; many food items are out and spring break is extended for my hs and college girls
Yep. This panic buying is so unnecessary. I think these guidelines are especially important for older people and immune-compromised people, but it's still really good practice to stay away from crowds right now, and to constantly wash your hands etc. If not for yourself, but for the protection of others.
