The coronavirus is really testing our world. It has had far-reaching consequences beyond the spread of the disease and efforts to contain it. From disruption to factories and logistics to massive losses in the entertainment industry, our everyday lives have already been severely challenged.

However, doctors, retail workers, and many, many more people are working very hard to help each and every one of us during these difficult times. And they should get all the recognition they deserve. So, to honor their efforts, artist Dustin Rogers (aka dustinteractive) from Columbus, Ohio, created a comic. The strip strikes a perfect balance between humor and compassion, and no wonder it went viral.

Dustin started doodling and uploading his art on the Internet back in 2015. It eventually became his career when he was asked to be a featured artist on Line Webtoon. “My comics touch on a diverse range of topics and include characters ranging from talking babies and serial daters, to a vegan boa constrictor and his best friend feeder mouse,” the artist told Bored Panda.

Facing the coronavirus, Rogers has been quarantined in his apartment for over a week now. “Everyone I know is healthy and safe, but I worry about those who are out of work due to this (on top of those who are sick). I think the best thing we can do is stay positive, so I’m trying my best to make people laugh and stay optimistic.”

“I have a lot of friends that work in healthcare,” he added. “I’ve been really inspired by their hard work and attitudes during all of this. I started thinking about other professions too that we should be thankful for. This comic was a way to pay tribute to these hard working people and also start a conversation about other under-appreciated workers who are helping us get through all of this.”

Nice illustrations:) But don't forget about those who clean and empty our garbage. Without them the whole society would collapse. Take care!❤️

These are wonderful. How about adding the many teachers that are trying to teach classes from home?

There are also teachers in schools, providing childcare for key workers, in the UK.

Finally! Nurses getting the respect they have deserved for a very long time! Remember, if you are hospitalized, there is a Nurse with you 24/7... a Dr visits once or twice a day for a few minutes. They rely on the Nurses to follow medication orders, monitor and document patients progress and keep them informed of everything they need to know about their patients. Furthermore, it also falls on the Nursing staff to closely examine each and every Dr order in case of mistakes in dosage, usages, and/or allergies!

Consider writing or drawing grateful lists. This is first aid for psyche stress. I believe the act of writing/drawing it makes it work. Not just thinking it.
