When we think of interiors, we immediately picture lavish living rooms with chandeliers or dreamy bedrooms with bougie candles and crisp sheets. No wonder that bathrooms often stay in the back of our minds where utility meets daily routines.
But this post compiled by Bored Panda is here to resurrect the washrooms once and for all by showing some of the coolest and most creative decorations people installed there: from a toilet shaped like a dragon and a brass instrument sink, to a guest book in a friend’s bathroom and a carpeted bathroom floor that looks like the soft moss you find in the forest.

If you’re thinking of starting your bathroom makeover, pull your seat closer. We reached out to Eva Taute, interior designer and interior stylist based in Amsterdam, Netherlands, who runs the website “Hygge Styling,” who shared some great advice.
“Start with two things: the atmosphere you want to go for and work that out into materials and colors,” Taute said and added: “For example: calm, cozy, bright - then think about beige colors, warm woods, and possibly white stone to bring in the brightness. If you don’t have a lot of daylight, then think about built-in ceiling lights to fill the space with light.”
She continued: “Secondly, look at your space and how you can make the most of it - create a floor plan and think about how you will move in the space.”

Built-in faucets and niches in the walls for easy storage as well as free-standing bathtubs and faucets bring an elegant feeling into a bathroom,” she said.

There are great ideas, but non-practical and stupid solutions are more common, as well as admiration for cheap and common things. Think first, if it looks nice is it practical. Otherwise, money is wasted on nonsense.
