I’ve always wanted to have my own bar, but living in a small apartment, the only way to fit one was to combine it with another piece of furniture. I designed and made this Transforming Bar Desk to save space in style.
I’m Jonathan Odom, a designer from the Instructables Design Studio in San Francisco. I designed this piece in Fusion 360 (a free 3D modeling program) and cut the pieces on a Shopbot CNC router. This piece can also be built by printing out paper templates I’ve provided and cutting the plywood sheets with a jigsaw.

I’ve always wanted to have my own bar, but living in a small apartment I did not have enough space for it
So I decided to build a desk that transforms into a bar
Now I can go from work to play instantly
A full bar hides at the back of the desk
I also added a drawer for my synthesizer so I could play in between work
Cheers!
