Abby and Brittany were first introduced to the world when they appeared on The Oprah Winfrey Show to share their story in 1996. They also gained widespread recognition with their TLC reality show ‘Abby & Brittany,’ which captured glimpses of their daily lives.
Their story has also been the subject of numerous documentaries. In one 2003 documentary called ‘Joined for Life,’ the twins’ mother, Patty Hensel, revealed that her children wanted to be mothers someday.
“That is probably something that could work because those organs do work for them,” Patty said in the documentary.
“Yeah, we’re going to be moms,” Brittany also said at the time. “We haven’t thought about how being moms is going to work yet. But we’re just 16 — we don’t need to think about that right now.”
Several people came to the sisters’ defense and said they deserved happiness just like anyone else
It’s absolutely fair that people are curious about how this marriage will work; I confess, I am too. BUT the questions folks are asking are way beyond what is considered polite and respectful; I’m 100% ok knowing my curiosity will not and should not be assuaged. IMO the questions posed are on par with asking a celebrity couple what their favourite sex position is when the pair have never talked about their intimate relations…. Ever! I suppose the awful comments about “BOGO” and so forth are to be expected on today’s internet (especially TikTok) but I kinda miss the early days when it was the World Wide Web and this sort of egregious nonsense was unusual rather than the norm.
Yeah, sadly these questions are too be expected. But it's still sad that these two women can't be left alone. Yes, their situation is unusual but they're still human, they have human feelings. Let them and Abby's husband be the ones to worry about the marriage and how it will work.

It is the rude or disgusting comments that are a problem, not the curiosity.

C'mon guys. Obviously, they are both married to him. They share a body. But he can only legally marry one person, so they decided that Abby would be the one on the paperwork.
Curiosity is natural and there's nothing wrong with wondering, but is it that hard to accept that they are entitled to a certain amount of privacy? Let them tell their story. People are gross to think they're important enough to demand details and make commentary to them about it.
People are naturally curious. And the twins are naturally pretty secretive. It is what it is. They’ve always been very private. Which, let’s be honest, sucks for us, because we want to know. A lot of people on reddit were saying that he’s married them both but that legally he can only be married to one. They do share a vagina so if you’re wondering about that, obviously they’re both intimate with him.
Have they really always been very private? I mean they had a reality show and post constantly. I think that it's natural for people to be curious but they need to do so respectfully.
Load More Replies...I'm confused: Only Abby married Josh? I'll probably be slated for asking, but what about Brittany? And the response from the twins to the rude queries (understandable), is confusing, too: '... prompted the twins to send a crystal-clear message to their haters. "This is a message to all the haters out there. If you don’t like what I (?) do ..." '? I don't do TikTok, so, is this Abby speaking? And again, what about Brittany?
I'm going to ask a question that I'm sure a lot of people want to know,or just haven't thought of asking or that are shy/afraid to ask,and anyone that considers this question is free to think that I'm being an a*****e,but to make it clear that's not my intentions,so....the question is....are both of them ok and acceptable/comfortable with the fact that the unmarried sister is going to always be present while the married sister and the hubby aka Josh have sex? I'm not being disgusting or perverted but I am genuinely curious and I'm pretty sure an interviewer would ask the same thing
If Brittany decided to marry the brother of Abby’s husband, things would get awkward fast.
It's not their faults they share a body. No, it's not polygamy if the husband and sister aren't romantically involved, even when they have sex, but it would probably be easy for it to become poly amorous. As long as the sister isn't being pressured into doing something she doesn't want to do, like having sex with the husband, they're not doing anything wrong. That being said, do sexual activities get awkward for them, having your sister right there?
What a hateful comment. Who the hell are you to tell them that they are “sick” for doing this. It’s none of your damned business.
