Used to teach cake decorating for an adult education class. The best memory was Down Syndrome student Jimmy. He was determined to learn and always happy to be there. Came to the last class sick because he didn’t want to disappoint me, Gave me a big hug and was crying at the end. Loved him to the moon and back.

Downs Syndrome, is nothing to be ashamed of. It happens. Lots of things happen. That doesn’t mean it is to be feared, or hidden or destroyed. Kids with Down’s syndrome, and adults, are some of the most compassionate and lovingon this earth. It is not to your detriment you meet someone with Down’s syndrome, but your pleasure, to enjoy a pure soul. That’s how I feel, and always will.

These photos are breathtaking and certainly go against the stereotypes associated with Down Syndrome. I've personally never met someone with Down Syndrome who didn't have a beautiful heart and spirit. These photos show that.

Fun and fabulous! I had an aunt born in 1947 with down syndrome. Doctors said she would not live past 2 years old. My lovely aunt lived until the ripe age of 67!
