My sibling likes reddit. I quote her quote from reddit. "I might be fat, but you look like something God drew with his left hand." I do not know who came up with it but I was an unfortunate recipient. I am left handed :(

During a discussion about wage gap between men and women, my own mother told me that I was delusional and had never faced any gender discrimination in the workforce. My career began out of state from her and we didn’t live in the same state for 30 years, yet she truly believed she knew for a fact that this could not have happened to me. When I provided examples, she brushed them off and said she didn’t believe it.
Hey Pandas, What Is Your Coming Out Story?
Okay, here's mine. It isn't crazy or anything, just mildly entertaining. So, I had recently watch one of my favorite YouTubers come out as pan and was talking with a lesbian friend of mine at, like, 11:00 at night. (I technically wasn't allowed to be doing this, but eh) So we were talking about being queer and something clicked in my head and I was like, "Oh, c**p. I'm pan." (This has changed over the years to now just being ✨women✨). So teenage me hung up, and creeped over to my parents' room and whispered, "Mom? I'm pan." To which my lovely mother responded, "Uh, okay? Whatever makes you happy, I guess? Go to bed, dumb a**." When I came out as gender fluid though, we had a little every day is a holiday calendar and I did it on name yourself day, and have stuck with the name Kai ever since!

That I shouldn't be president (US) because I'm a woman and women are too emotional to be leading a nation. I laughed, and then realized he was serious. Serious enough not to vote for a candidate just because she was a woman. I let him know what I thought, but we're still friends because he's not voting age yet and I think once he gets a girlfriend he will change his mind very fast.🤣
Hey Pandas, Do You Have Any Tips For Coming Out?
Make sure that it is safe to come out to the people you come out to. If it could put you in danger, be it mentally or physically, then you shouldn't. No one has to know and the most important thing is to be safe.
Hey Pandas, Share Tips For Battling Dysphoria
Something that I have found helps, aside from baggy clothes that hide everything, is figuring out what parts of your body you think helps you present your chosen way and focusing on them. For example if you think your jawline is a good masc aspect, then get a haircut that flaunts your jawline. Also learning what kinds of styles hide things like chests is a good way to build a gender affirming closet. If you swim a lot sites like TomboyX have compression swim tops and other gender affirming swim wear. Researching and using tools is always a good way to combat dysphoria. Stay safe darlings

Hey Pandas, In Honor Of Pride, What Are Some Good LGBTQ+ Books?
This isn't a LGBTQ+ focused book, but it's a good book none the less. It's called Wilder Girls by Rory Power. It has strong found family and queer aspects. Wonderful read, 10/10, would recommend.
Hey Pandas, Share Tips For Battling Dysphoria
Sorry about the troll down there, please ignore them completely. I don't have any tips as I have never experienced dysphoria, but I thought there should be something more positive on this post. To everyone who has ever been targeted by the troll (or anyone else), you are all incredible people who don't deserve any of the hate you have been given. Please don't listen to anything the troll (or anyone else negative) says, they are a deeply troubled person. Regardless of how others perceive you, you are all cared for by many people. I love all of you guys ❤️🧡💛💚💙💜
What's The Craziest/Most Unique Insult Or Bigotted Belief You've Heard?
well this wasn’t directed towards me, but i was discussing the gender wage gap and income tax with this girl in my grade, and she was like, you know who made all of this?? i was like, who? and she said, AND I KID YOU NOT, she said it was jewish people. i asked her why, and she said they lie a lot, and they brainwash our kids into believing that they are good. and the reason you can’t find any evidence of this is because they removed it all. i backed out of that convo real quick. i can’t make this stuff up…
What's The Craziest/Most Unique Insult Or Bigotted Belief You've Heard?
I’m a southerner and I’ve heard more than once that people believe me to be stupid/dumb simply because of my accent. Just like Jake said in Sweet Home Alabama: “Just because I talk slow doesn’t mean I’m stupid.” I’ve actually had the pleasure of demonstrating this point to a few arrogant people over the years. The amount of disrespectful attitudes towards someone because they have a “twang” in their voice is insane and speaks volumes about their own character.Show All 27 Upvotes
