I'm not sure why parents would have a problem with their kids being gay, straight, transgender, etc...as long as they're happy. Who cares about the rest. Most parents that act this way are only thinking about how it reflects on them. "What will my friends think? Where did I go wrong? This is not how I raised my kids!" The fact is, it's not about you. It's about them. And if you are a decent parent..you love your children unconditionally. If outside forces are pressuring you to reject your kids for merely being true to themselves, then your kids aren't the problem. Love and happiness should be your only driving force when it comes to your kids.

It's because marvel was in big trouble years ago and sold the movie rights of individual characters to just about anyone willing to give them a buck. Add to that contracts that let studios keep the licences as long as they make a movie every number of years and you get messes like the last Fantastic Four movie just to avoid losing the licence. There has even been a never released FF4 movie that was especially made just to keep the licence from defaulting back to Marvel come to think of it.
