Hey Pandas, Share Your Best Joke, Riddle, Or Funny Story!
It's a long walk, but worth it, IMO. One sunny day in January 2021 an old man approached the White House from across Pennsylvania Avenue, where he’d been sitting on a park bench. He spoke to the U.S. Marine standing guard and said, “I would like to go in and meet with President Trump.” The Marine looked at the man and said, “Sir, Mr. Trump is no longer president and no longer resides here.” The old man said, “Okay," and walked away. The following day, the same man approached the White House and said to the same Marine, “I would like to go in and meet with President Trump.” The Marine repeated, “Sir, as I told you yesterday, Mr. Trump is no longer president and no longer resides here.” The man thanked him and, again, just walked away. The third day, the old man approached the White House and spoke to the very same U.S. Marine, saying again, “I would like to go in and meet with President Trump.” The Marine, understandably irritated at this point, looked at the man and said, “Sir, this is the third day in a row you’ve been here asking to speak to Trump. I’ve told you each time that he’s no longer the president and no longer resides here. Don’t you get it?” The old man looked at the Marine and said, “Oh, I understand. I just love hearing it.” The Marine snapped to attention and said, “See you tomorrow, Sir.”

There was a person who thought that my stories were awful (I write a lot of stories for fun) and said that it would be better if I killed myself. I responded with my favorite comeback ever, "Look, if I wanted to kill myself I would have climbed up to the top of your ego and jumped down to your IQ. Toodles!" That led me to discovering the field of linguistics, which I'm now majoring in. 4 years ago a kid I barely knew from school invited me to a six flags. I was a bit of a loner at the time and I heard rumors about this kid being weird, so I intended to not go. On the day he wanted me to go, I was feeling extra bored and decided on a whim “why not?”. So I went and met this kid and two of his friends I’ve never met at a six flags. 4 years later and that kid is my best friend, and I have 3 other very close friends I met through him. Not only that, but I also met my first girlfriend because of the connections some of my new friends had. It transformed my high school years from being alone to having an amazing group of friends I could do almost anything with. I intended to ask my best friend to be my best man one day, and I don’t intend on ever getting out of touch with any of them. When I was in 8th grade (13 years old) I had a really long bus ride home so would pass the time by reading. One day I faced the very serious situation of nothing to read and a minute to grab something in the library, and for whatever reason I grabbed a book on astronomy. That book was amazing and grabbed me like nothing else had before. I remember being excited to realize every astronomer on Earth was 13 years old once too, and that was a career you could actually do, even if you were from Pittsburgh. Anyway, today I am a professional astronomer who studies gigantic space explosions for a living. I do rather like Snape. He wasn't as mean as people thought he was. Besides, Harry's father made his life miserable, so Snape was more forgiving than people think. I also like how Hermione punched Draco. And Ron was great. But we all know the true heroes of the Harry Potter series are Fred and George.
