Im high school girl (Sophomore) and will have very specific and firm beliefs, so don't try me. I live on the East Coast (of the USA) but Im about to move to the middle east (Update,I have moved and it's aweful here). I'm an introvert, but don't take that to mean I don't want to fight. I love to read, especially Wings of Fire, Harry Potter, Percy Jackson, The Selection Series, Hunger Games, The Fault in Our Stars, and Shadow hunters, The Folk of the Air, and Divergent Trilogy. I'm definitely a Slithin daughter of Aphrodite (not the stupid kind), but most of all DAUNTLESS. I am stressed all the time about literally everything. I have a large amount of younger brother that drive me crazy. I am fully vaccinated and care a lot about this country. I thoroughly, 100% support Ukraine. Pray for Ukraine!!

I understand that a lot of people beleive that they are not and that is completely up to them to decide for themselves. I strongly beleive that each person can have their own set of beleifs that might completely contradict anothers and that is fine, nobody can know or understand everything, and I know for certian I dont. They should be thinking for themselves and comparing their ideas with others to see if they can further their understanding whether its through disagreement or not. It is our responsibility to our self to try to understand and for me that understanding is fueled by my faith, and for you its fueled by science. Both could be complete individually, neither could be complete with out the other, it could be a mix of many thing. We may never know.

For my personal beleif I am not trying to say that Science is Biblical or that the Bible is Scientific, I just beleive that both can exist without me understanding how.

I understand what your saying and I totally agree with this. I personally beleive that in the beginning of the world time was relative expesially because without the sun and the moon how would they even tell day from night, but everybody has their own undserstanding of what they beleived happened and everybody is entitled to their own opinions, so if somebody else things differently than I do I just except that. I dont understand how time fit in with the world's creation but for me I beleive the Bible comes first and my own comfort in understanding comes second.

I am also a Christian and this is my exact sentiment. The majority of my religion has failed the world and continue to fail with all of their hate and criticism. Religion shouldn't be political it should be a moral and personal choice but somehow it is wrapped up in politics now. (edit, this next bit was primarily aimed at Biblical people who "dont beleive in science" not scientific people who dont beleive in the Bible, that is one thing that I have struggled with in the past and can totally understand where you are coming from) Also science and the Bible are *not* opposites. Just because we might not understand how they fit togther, doesn't mean that they dont fit! I sincerely apologize for all of the hate that anybody has spread on the count of Christianity and I hope that anybody hurt by it would forgive us for these downfalls caused by our misunderstanding and cruel human nature.

Not like I disagree, but that example is flawed - assuming "big bang" theory it can be represented by grenade: first you see the light of explosion and later you get cut in pieces by the shrapnel :)

I appreciate what your saying here, but science and the Bible are not compatible. This can be easily seen right from the first chapter (for example: there being light before stars). Science is evidence based, religion is faith based. They are very different things.
