Yep, that's the newest one that Graydon Webb, original founder of the chain and his family opened last fall. I've been there a couple of times. It's a great place, but the ones in Evansville are my favorites because they feel just like the Ritzy's locations I grew up with.

I've been to the Huntington Ritzy's, and the Frostop down the street. Both good places. Also, there's a Rax in Ironton I enjoy. Plus Suzi's in South Charleston is another former Burger Chef that still sells Burger Chef food.

The Ford Festiva and Ford Fiesta are completely different vehicles. The Fiesta was engineered and built by Ford, but the Festiva was engineered by Mazda and built by Kia for Ford. The UK market version of the Ford Festiva was, in fact, the Kia Pride. Sorry for the dissertation on old economy cars, but people confusing the Festiva and Fiesta is a pet peeve of mine.

It's interesting that most of the chains seem to be in the South and Midwest. Living up in the Pacific Northwest nearly all my life I've only encountered a handful of these locally over the last 40+ years. Some I've seen when traveling to other parts of the country, but I have the suspicion that there are just more of that type of things in other regions. This has always been an area where one-offs have been more popular than chains - at least up until recently.

Since many of these were midwest, eastern, or southern I hadn't heard of them since I have lived pretty much exclusively in the west. I used to go to Farrell's frequently. My brother once managed to eat an entire pig's trough at Farrell's. There is one left in Portland, OR I believe.

Google 'Roy Rogers Murders'. Some guy, who lived in my apartment complex near DC in the mid-1970s, robbed a Roy Rogers, took the staff back into the freezer and shot them all. Only one survived and she testified against the bad guy.
