Hi, my name is Marcus and i love to capture dogs. 2016 we adopt a spanish Greyhound, Mr. Loki!
His story changed a lot in my life. Through Loki I got in touch with the circumstances in Spain and how these dogs are treated over there. Thousands of them are disposed of every year after the Hunting Season and when their owners see them as "no longer useful". So I began to take photos of my own dogs and posted pictures of them on Facebook and Instagram. I discovered the photography again for me and realized that I can move something with my pictures. Now i photograph dogs for al lot of Charity-projects in Germany. In most of my images you see rescued Spanish hunting dogs like galgos and podencos, you can see and feel how they now enjoy their life in freedom - loved and appreciated by their new families. I do only press the button of my camera, but the dog shares a specific moment with me through his gesture. You can perhaps call it the dog's statement to the whole situation. The dogs speak to me and share with me (and the viewer of the picture afterward) their special private moments. Often funny moments that also show how beautiful these dogs are. My works are only a way of delivering the message that is definitely send by the featured model, the dog. I give these dogs a voice.

About:
The photography he operates again since 2016. After a break of almost 20 years and completely unrelated work, but constantly in the topic, Marcus discovered the photography through his dogs again for himself. The focus of his work determines the dog photography and in particular the characteristically slightly humorous portrayal of dogs in the studio. Marcus always supports various animal welfare projects and organizations with his work. In the course of time, the logo created on 01.08.2016, the hashtag #windhundgang established in his photos. Meanwhile, the pictures are shown worldwide in the media with the hashtag #windhundgang, both online and offline. Such as in the English "Daily Star" the "Kölner Stadtanzeiger", the "Kölnische Rundschau", the TV channel "WDR", the "ze.tt" magazine of the "Zeit" a.o.
Also, his dog pictures could be presented to a wide audience at many exhibitions, e.g. at the Photo & Adventure Duisburg 2018, the Brücker Art Days 2018, at the Alexians 2018, in the Valid World Hall Gallery, Barcelona, Spain 2019 a.o.
