Well I would generally agree but I just went to my home town carnival and there was a 5 year old dressed as trump with a Bandage over his ear quickly followed by a small french bulldog dressed as a shark and I have to tell you, it made my day

I mean, I can ruin this for you guys if you want... Each flight plan has a list of invisible sky waypoints that you have to initially plan to go to along the route. For spacing and traffic management, this may not be the most direct straight line route. You may also be asked not to get into certain airspace because they're busy with their own arrivals and departures and have a giant stack of holds. Once you're underway, you ask nicely if you can get a shortcut and they look at the actual situation right now and go sure, this runway isn't as busy as we thought, the wind is blowing the other way so you can cut across that approach, the space around SORPA or whatever isn't that busy, why don't you forget the next 3 waypoints and go direct to the top of the descent. You might then even get lucky enough to skip the hold. Presto, you made shortcuts.

Important note! Once you know you're pregnant get a blood test done. If you have a negative blood type and the fetus has a positive blood type you are extremely likely to miscarry as the antigens in your blood will attack and kill the baby. Just "I spend all my time crying, the animals get along as corpses, I am overcome with anxiety, my boss blames me for everything, I don't make meaningful change in my life, I can't see myself as grown because of my comparison with others, evolution was a trap, I am driven by spite, I am going to die alone, the plane is crashing, the mermaid is stuck as an animal, the human is lonely and overworked, my parents are emotionally abusive, the light at the end of the tunnel will eat you, parents are nags, cut animals eat each other, dinosaurs hopes are dashed through mass extinction, I'm a lonely workaholic, kids are boring enough to kill me, everyone has generational trauma, you've never done anything of value with your life, life is suffering, we subject the strongest forces of the universe to menial tasks, I am haunted by failure, I hate myself, you never truly know your friends, people stay together not out of love but out of a fear of rejection... I feel that - I have often wondered how my mother and older sister survived to adulthood. They've never had scabies, but my sister had blood in her stool for months and months and decided she was JUST FINE and didn't need to see a doctor. (She was fine, thankfully. Just needed to eat a better diet.) My mother is lactose intolerant but will eat cheese, ice cream, etc. and then be like "WHYYYY DO I HAVE DIARRHEA AND CRAMPING AND PAIIIIIIN?" She also had a REALLY bad stomach ulcer at one point, and when the doc gave her a printout with a list of things to stop eating (or at least eat little of) she looked at the top two things (coffee and alcohol) and was like "OH WELL I don't drink coffee OR alcohol!" and tossed the paper out. The paper also listed acidic things like tomatoes, watermelon, and lemons, and she loves those and eats massive amounts of them. But because she doesn't drink coffee, that's all that matters. I seriously do not know how she made it to the age of 79.

I was a nurse (retired now). I was working in a hospital and had a patient being treated for. . . I don't remember what. But he was also diabetic. Every evening his blood glucose level would go above 500 even though he was using diabetes medication and was on the hospital's "Carb Control Diet". We couldn't figure out what was going on until one evening we caught his friend sneaking a large chocolate milkshake in to his room.

I was a nurse (retired now). I was working in a hospital and had a patient with a badly infected leg and positive blood culture labs (the infection was spreading). His girlfriend came to visit with a printed copy of a Facebook post. It said something about using exercise to treat infection. She convinced him to go home to try it. He returned to the hospital by ambulance a few days later and died in the emergency department.

A case of “how were they alive by themselves” I saw during med school was surprisingly from the dermatology ward. She was in for a severe genital rash (scabies if I remember correctly - she wasn’t under the doctor I was shadowing so I’m not sure of all the details). Problem was she probably would have fit in better in the psychiatric ward because throughout her stay she was wailing loudly writhing on the floor by her bed screaming at the doctors to cure her one minute and then praising them the next minute. One time she walked into the doctor’s room and started the whole rolling on the floor and crying process. Some doctors tried to calm her down to no avail so she was left alone to finish her tantrum. Her rash was severe cause she kept scratching it. During her entire stay she didn’t have a single visitor or a caregiver by her side which she desperately needed so it was such a wonder how she was staying alive by herself.

She was very serious that a useable hand-held shower head without a hose, because the hose was “ugly”. Asked if she meant an overhead or a wall-mounted shower head because those didn’t require a hose. Nope. She wanted the water to flow from the wall into a handheld shower head without a hose. I tried to tell her that wasn’t possible and ended up sending her to a different home improvement store.
