I’m a 60 yr old woman and a mother lol kids 21-24 I had an old staffie who went blind like a happy long life healthy life till she was 15 , just blind or deaf is not a reason to put em down however crippled totally agree I’ve worked in rescue so I’m very hot on animal cruelty! no dogs of mine will ever suffer if they can’t be cured , our 13 yr old rottie x ddb (French mastiff aka turner n hooch dog ) had osteosarcoma diagnosis in her front leg , n it is a very fast growing cancer so we said our good byes over the next few days the Thursday thru to Sunday spoilt her rotten steak burgers n a bit of choc n the like then on the Monday the vet came to our house n she went to rainbow bridge at home with my n the kids there and our German rottie to s he got so say goodbye , it’s not ok to keep a dog suffering alive it’s cruel

There was one really long line up for the women's room and some women had to really, really go. We don't have the same ability to just hold it in, as our uterus and bladders tend to be so close. Like, one sneeze or cough and I'm trinkling. Actually, if I manage to keep holding it in as I sneeze, my sinuses will keep sneezing until I trinkle. Absolute curse of the post-pregnant body, even years later. Anyways, there was no line up for the men's room. The men were telling us to just use the men's room. It's not a common occurrence but some men do have some compassion. We were a bit hesitant because it was just a couple men made the okay, but we weren't sure if it would be a problem for another.

My mom said she was "shocked" there was a city and the urban area close to the mountains looks like Vancouver to her. She's not the most easily impressed and not an open-minded traveller. She didn't have much good things to say about her trip. I asked her, "What did you expect in this modern era? Grass huts and hula girls everywhere?" "...yeah." XD. Lots of big stores are all over the world now, though. I think the culture aspects, no matter where you are, are right under your nose. It's the different languages, slang, plants and animals, the geography, climate. Best thing to do is research recipes of local dishes and try to make them yourself. Exploring a grocery store in another country is interesting. You never know what you might find you don't see at your own grocery store.

Funny story. My now ex MIL had this cactus for years and was certain it was dying. It wasn't growing and turning brown. She gave it us. Within a matter of months the cactus started to lose the browning and began growing a bud that turned into another cactus. She couldn't understand why it was thriving at our place and not hers. I think we watered it more frequently, like every couple weeks. Whereas she watered it every year.

Okay, but why put down a blind or deaf animal? I do agree that when your pets are suffering too much it's time to humanely put them down. My friend had to do that with her cat when she started getting seizures and eating less. It's super sad but it's for the best. The way my mom put it when she put her horse down "He's lived a really good life. He doesn't deserve a torturous end."
