They'd need a solid majority in both houses and/or enough Republicans voting like actual humans for that. Neither has been the case for quite a while. Of course a worthy Supreme Court still could have helped with actual guidence in many issues but that train is long gone, too. Ruling with the executive against the other powers is hard work, too, and something nobody should want either.

I've been asked the same, albeit much later in the interview. I countered with 'how do you handle me being up to 45 minutes late 3 days a week because the trains are unreliable and often don't go to the station they show on the front?' The knew they couldn't answer truthfully without exposing their double standards. I called it a win.

Potter would indeed be the more prominent one, though I think she eventually got more work within Downton Abbey (and was great in both). When people act for a long long time there will be a point from when more and more people will have missed more and more of it. Think the oldest film I've seen her in was Murder by Death from the 70s (hilarious though some parts have not aged well), so I missed the first 20 years of her career.
