I feel like it depends on the topic. When I want to learn a new crochet stitch or method, I turn to tiktok because I can watch several quick, focused videos of different people doing the same thing and I can synthesize all of that different information and figure out which demonstration makes the most sense to me, instead of having to try and replicate written instructions with my hands or having to navigate through a youtube video's introduction, sponserships, and ads to try and find the 30 seconds of the video I actually need to see. But for facts and knowledge, I always put the effort into the research.

for context, it's a small business and there's about 25-30 staff members total, including management and owners. made around 2.5 million in sales this year which is pretty good for us. Person who "owns" 2/3 of the business and has the other ones as well is a multi-millionaire, and also does almost nothing for the business, while the other owner and manager actually work there and do managerial tasks.

Exactly. At my retail job, baseline associates get minimum wage. Lower management gets paid around 60 cents more (even though they basically run the store during their shifts), no clue about the three people that make up upper management but the owners get salary pay and one of them owns multiple profitable businesses. Our christmas bonus was a lunch container with candy and various $10 gift cards. They splurged this year.

Following it can even be dangerous as a couple people [got unalived] from brown bear mailings because they laid down when they should have fought back. What do to when you encounter a bear only depends on its behaviour and how it reacts to you, not its colour/species.
