I'm so very sorry for your loss. Reading this touches me so deeply because my daughter had this surgery for a 70° degree curve when she was 13 years old, she had a few difficulties but was otherwise okay, but the hardware failed, a screw came out on the bottom left and it began shifting down, leaving a very painful unhealed area of her spine. So they had to remove that entire section and redo it. She did recover better that time and hasn't had any issues yet. It's been 15 years now. The initial surgery was very difficult to endure and was mentally stressful for her. It was heartbreaking for me to not be able to take her pain away. Again, I'm so incredibly sorry that you lost your friend to this surgery. My heart aches for you. Sending you thoughts of strength, courage, and peace. Gentle hugs.

I was under general anesthesia to get my gall bladder removed. As I was being wheeled back through the double doors there was a giant tv screen that listed the surgeries going on. I was way too loopy to actually read it but I swear I saw “Elbow-ectomy” and started hysterically laughing over the idea of removing an elbow and being left with a floppy arm. Apparently what I actually said was “elbooow jellooooo” and then passed out.

Growing up in TX, i didn't know any gay people and no one talked to me about what it really meant and that they need our support as allies, etc. I remember saying something about "Adam and Eve, not Adam and Steve" It's stupid and i don't know if I hurt anyone with my words, but I regret them. It must have been hard enough growing up gay in cowboy country with out dummies like me.

Hey Pandas, You’ve Just Been Arrested, And Whether You’re Freed Or Not Depends On The Last Meme You’ve Saved On Your Phone. How’s It Looking? (Closed)

For me I was sitting on the couch on my then moms bosses house for thanksgiving and my sister was playing with his desert dog I look up at watch like it was in slow motion the dog look up at my sister and aimed for her face particularity her eye. Suddenly I hear MYSLEF scream and my moms boss grab the dog and throwing it outside he knew what to do in this situation because the company he owned was first aid and CPR so he ran and got his first aid kit and compressed her cheek and put a bandaid on it. It was and still is the scariest moment of my life he rushed to the hospital to find out it didn’t go to farm but It did puncture her cheek a little bit. I was in hysterics while we where driving but she is fine now.
