as an employee, the stores can operate with very few employees. cleaning is rather minimal but that's fine since office supplies don't need the same conditions as food, it's like a warehouse with decent lighting inside the store. many people still come in for printers, ink, school supplies, printing services, and furniture. the store can run with one manager, one checkout person one stocker, and a print technician for half the day. and all the employees do their best to help every customer. Surviving as a business is easy, especially since we are one of the only office supply stores in the area.

This really isn't big here at all.....just a little in the South. The show Toddlers in Tiaras has been off the air for more than 10 years. I don't get why people think this is common here in the U.S. and NO....most of us think it's weird too!

In my native language, woman means the same as female person (ie born with vagina, ovaries etc.) as opposed to man (male person, penis etc.) It also only has three singular pronouns; he/she/it. No distinction is made between gender and sex -- they are both a biologically defined classification. But we do have the concept of "intersex" for those unfortunate 1-in-2000+ people with atypical sex characteristics.
