While I agree with the overall sentiment, I believe that a parent should cut traumatization of their children down to ZERO if they themselves were traumatized and abused. Why is it acceptable to "proceed" by "cutting it in half"? No amount of trauma and abuse from one's parents is acceptable, even if THEY were traumatized and abused as children.

Gregor Mendel was the Austrian monk+ who worked out a lot of laws of genetic inheritance, like (simple version which doesn't quite work IRL) if one human parent has blue eyes and the other has brown (resisting urge to digress), then their offspring will have brown eyes (oh boy does it hurt not to put in all the ifs and buts). So looking at this picture, their offspring would have pale skin and dark hair, and probably tend to the tall and slender (looking at his arms I reckon he's tall but sitting down/standing on something lower). So then explain why for the same job at Google women earn 2% more than men? That's the only company I have the data for. Yes women are more agreeable than men and therefore fight less for a raise than men do and that shows in their income as well. But while that also comes with gender it's something that can be overcome by choice. The main contributor for the wage gap are however the choice of profession and the hours worked. Many women prefer to work 20 hours a week and spending more time with the children. And yes we as society have to find a solution that because social jobs and raising children are very important for society. So instead of forcing a 50:50 ratio in every job maybe rather work on more fair distribution across jobs. So if you actually care please stop with this oversimplified BS, it just makes everything worse.

I think the implication is that Adam lived to be 900+ years old (think about THAT all you need) so he and Eve probably had hundreds of kids. Only three of which were named in their relatively short section of the book of genesis. Either way, lots of glorious incest going on.

I think it's less about religious people than religion itself. We know that so many kind and moral religious people exist, like you, but in terms of scripture and other beliefs (in Christianity, the resurrection, the idea of heaven, hell and even God) we can safely call many of those things myths. Just because you are a good person and happen to follow some parts of a religion does not make the religion good, as the old testament and koran have pretty much proved.

Random but why are so many (three) people in this comment section being downvoted for being confused? They're not being hateful. All that toast meant by their comment was that the person who replied had 'your' in their username so they know that 'you' as a pronoun exists. I think they mean that although a lot of the time people comment 'fake' when someone posts about something hard to believe, it doesn't always have to be fake. If someone actually did have something big happen to them, they might talk about it online, but not many people would believe them since there is so much fakeness it's hard to believe what's real- so when something actually IS real, no-one believes it. Hope that made sense :)

If we're bringing the Quran into this then there's also a lot of sexism in Islam and the Quran, I'm glad that most Muslims nowadays have the sense to ignore/'reinterpret' parts of their holy books, and you can find justification for both sides in the Quran, it's just very contradictory. If all Muslims followed the Quran to the letter, the amount of misogyny, homophobia and violence in the world would increase greatly. No hate obviously to Muslims since the vast majority are great people, it's just that some of their teachings are good and some are terrible imo.
