30 Comics That I’ve Created In Which A Necromancer And His Assistant Do Odd Jobs
I created the Bonebag Comics back in early 2012 through trial and error. Lots and lots of errors. I have spent much of my time honing my skills as a graphic artist and as an illustrator.
Bonebag was a young promising Practitioner of the Dark Arts. That is, until he decided to drop out from Grave School and run away to the Top Side of Things. Hiding in part of the Mortal World called: The Suburbs.
Grimm is Bonebag's assistant. He has very little practical experience but has large amounts of enthusiasm. Although, in most cases, he causes more trouble than he helps to solve.
Together these two NE'ER-DO-WELLS provide a unique perspective and a little oddity to their simple surroundings.

Ghouls, Girls, And Gossip
My name is Ryan Roberts and I have lived in Texas most of my life. I have three great kids and a wonderful wife that supports my love for cartoons and comics. Growing up in the '80s and '90s, I loved watching things like The Ghostbusters - I loved the wacky designs they created for their ghosts. I was always drawing at school when I should have been paying attention to my teachers. All my homework came with doodles in the margins.
From childhood, I always knew I wanted to be an artist (in one form or another). I have worked as a freelance artist for quite some time and in that time I have come up with many stories, jokes, and works of art.

When I was a small child I was inspired by the "Calvin and Hobbes" comic strips (created by Bill Watterson). They were dynamic and full of colorful characters. The lines between imagination and reality were mercurial and sometimes interchangeable. As I grew older I found inspiration in other things like Tim Burton's "Nightmare Before Christmas" and "Tales from the Cryptkeeper" (the cartoon series from the '90s). I wanted to make something that was as equally childish and maybe a little spooky.

Bonebag Comics was inspired by the Adventures of Sam and Max Freelance Police (created by Steve Purcell). They were random and zany and their witty dialogue was top-notch. I wanted my characters to be just a couple of ne'er-do-wells who had the hearts of warriors and the souls of slackers.
Monster Mafia
Friendship
My comics are a release valve for the small stresses that pop up in life. When I don't draw, I feel like a house plant slowly dying of thirst. The best part is when I write down a joke or an idea for a comic and see how it turns out.
Lawn Care
Zombie Bob
The Bonebag comics is my way of keeping a promise to my inner child "that even if I were to become a grown-up I would keep loving comics and cartoons and still find the joy in drawing characters from my imagination". Fun FACT: the name "Bonebag" I took from the Casper Movie. I loved the snide nicknames the Ghostly Trio gave to the living characters a lot.
