I feel you. I lost my first big love in a car accident. He drove home late at night and the truck that pulled off the acceleration lane in front of him didn't have its lights on. He died before the ambulance got there. It's almost impossible to describe the intense pain I went through. I was so heartbroken, I never fully recovered from it. It happened over 10 years ago and until this day I still can't feel as much love and joy as I could before this happened. I'm not unhappy. My life is good and I even had the luck to find my soulmate. I just feel like something inside me broke back then that is impossible to heal/repair.

The saddest thing. Thanks for the comic and raising awareness.

Some woman pulled out onto a carriageway without looking my uncle went flying across two lanes and into the crash barrier it's a miracle of miracles he come out of it with a giant a*s bruise and nothing else if that barrier wasn't there though or he hadn't missed the other traffic ... I think about that alot and it's why causes like this are so important to me I dated guys who had motorbikes and I always worried for them.

Lost my love one day in disease after many years of marriage.And i know that nothing will never be the same and thats some mystery in life who will puzzle me the to the last days in my life.Why and are there a purpose for whats happening or are we all in The Matrix.Death doesnt scare me anymore after this when i know that my love waits on the other side when i told her to walk ahead and that i would find her once more when my days was over.That will probably be a journey beyond imagination in the place called heaven :) .Have a nice day to you all.

This is heart breaking. I'm so sorry this happened

Too many..too much. Know three that been killed in hit and run. Saw another. Been nearly hit in a crosswalk a couple of times. Twice ever car had stopped...one decided to speed up had to run and jump on curve to avoid getting hit...another decided the bus lane was another lane to use... barely missed getting hit.

I feel this pain. Sorry to hear that. But here, let me tell you my story. When I was 8 years old I had a sleepover with my friend. She had asked me if we could go to the skating ring where her dad would be. So we went; and when we got their we skated, no biggie. But then she had to leave. But we talked on my moms phone: face time. While she was in the car she dropped her phone and I heard her SCREAM. I went and told my mom, and asked if she was alright many times. But no. Nothing happened, until 7:28 P.M. ....She wasn't alive. So, yah. I mourned and mourned. But it gets better with time!

I have read the original story, it was really touch and awakening.

To all the good drivers out there : Congratulations, you have the talent and the experience to control a vehicle the right way ! This, unfortunately for you, leads to a greater level of responsibility on the road compared with the average driver, rather than a pass to drive faster than them. Avoiding someone else's close call saving your and their lives is the real showoff if you ask me, and it gets immensely easier at moderate speed. Drive slow and think quick

Originally, it is a sad story.

Traffic accidents, people just don't pay enough attention to them. We think of traffic accidents as something that will never happen to us. For that thinking, some of us drive carelessly. ONLY until we, or our love ones get accident, then we know how sad, heart-breaking and terrible traffic accidents are. Not only for us, but for other people as well. Most of the time, we were so ignorant. 8 years ago, I was a young man, got my first motorbike and got so excited. At 18, I rode fast, carelessly, thinking it was cool. Then an accident happened. I fell down the road. Even though I wore a helmet, my face was so close to the cement block on the road side. Yes, luck was on my side. And I also knew that next time, I wouldn't be that lucky. I got a lesson of my life.

I suppose the devastation is fresh, but she doesn't have to stay single for the rest of her life just because her fiancé passed away. I'm sure he wouldn't want her to wallow in misery forever.

Very sad.

Moral of story, don't ride motorcycles. Why would you ride something that has no seat belts, no crumble zones in case of contact, no air bags, no safety at all.

It works both ways. Motorcycle riders should ALSO look out. Very often they are the ones who are reckless.
