Y'all are forgetting the other side of this story lol yes the cartoon is meant to protray an abusive mother or relationship, but, in reality these comments are usually uttered after the child says something ungrateful or hurtful because they're angry or didn't get what they want, and are too young to understand what they said isn't rational. Because in reality, we should all be grateful for everything our parents have done and we didn't realize until we were older what they went through and sacrificed to raise us the best they were able. Be grateful to your parents. Not all of them do a great job, but most try very hard to do the right thing. Don't let this "woke" era convince you otherwise,
