Share on FacebookOh my, how could a short comic strip made me cry? But it's a good cry. <3
I lost my dad three years ago, and it was hard scrolling down, not crying. Thanks dad for being by my side all those years and I didn't know how short could it be our journey together.
Sorry for your loss... I didn't quite lose my dad, but my stepdad died...

It's never too early, or late, to ugly cry. If the need arises, one ugly cries there and then. 😊
Load More Replies...While the cartoon capsulated life to a T, &, encouraged us to pause & appreciate it, I ,also looked at it, as having people in our life that matter to us . Not all, have spouses , or, children . A person should have someone, though , for, humans aren't meant to live in isolation.
Why the down votes for Meowton Mewsk? Yeah, he interpreted it wrong, but are you really so repulsed by his opinion that you need it hidden from the comment section? Please think.
Load More Replies...Awww. Miss my babies, they're 29 & 36 in real years, but about 6 months in my head.
My Mom is exactly the same, I'm in high school and she still calls me her baby
Load More Replies...I love that so much. It's so true. They're only little for a little while.
And the cat's in the cradle and the silver spoon Little boy blue and the man in the moon When you coming home, dad? I don't know when But we'll get together then You know we'll have a good time then
This is an unrealistic storyline for many people who.are childless, or have children who for whatever reason will not have children of their own Some people are doomed to a lonely old age
OMG I can so relate! I'm definitely in the first one, 3rd-last frame (still waiting, wondering if that's ever going to happen). Being a Dad never ends. Beautiful. Me, crying? Nah, that's you, ain't it?
Read this after I got reamed by my 15 y old son because I texted him to make sure he had enough money for his date... so, yeah.
i love my baby so much... we even have thesame smell if she does in a whole day playtime... i wish i get to see them having a family on their own doing if God permit... a heart warming comics..
Kinda left out the tantrums, the arguments, the teenage "i hate you's", the poor life choices you have to bail them out of, etc. Parenthood isn't ever as idyllic as these maudlin comics make it out to be, and it does a disservice to people go don't know what the hell they are getting into.
A stunning illustration. I don't have children yet, but I can still feel the tears trying to come T_T

My daugther is all growup and with a kid herself. Comic strip made me travel back in time - beautiful.
my granddaughter is 16 kg light. I've been told I should'nt carry her anymore.........Think I'll do it more often now
I'm a new father to a baby girl and I have these thoughts all the time.
This is so beautiful. Really makes me wish i had a father figure in my younger life. Amazing.
About to send my oldest off to college. This hits all the feels............
Surely growing old would be even harder without the kids to be there to share your old age with.
Seems like it'd be easier since you'd have more money and would have had less stress and probably age much more gracefully.

Load More Replies...Robert, I'm also sorry to read that that's how you are feeling. My life hasn't followed the path in this cartoon either, and I can appreciate that that can be isolating and frustrating, to say the fricking least. That said, I agree with frederic that you do have some degree of control; your choices can change your life. Even if you don't plan to live beyond your mother's death (at this stage, although I hope that changes), you deserve some enjoyment in life. Have you considered some counselling, or other type of dedicated support? There's no magic wand, of course, but having a sounding board can be a relief and a source of validation, in my experience. Good luck to you - the suffering you are enduring for the sake of your mother shows you have a beautiful heart. People often say "I would die for you" as the ultimate expression of love - I think that continuing to live for someone is much harder. Not everyone has the degree of empathy and love you expressed....
