Columbia’s Instruction Tags That Make Life Easier In The Nature: “survival Labels”

With its Survival Labels Project, Columbia turned everyday instruction tags that contain how-to-use and washing instructions into tools that help you survive in the nature.

Columbia has been a friendly figure for those who are passionate about the extreme sports and outdoors for the past 70 years, ever since it was founded and to underline this bond once more, it transformed its ordinary instruction tags into survival kits. With Ogilvy & Mather Istanbul’s vision and 6-month long R&D efforts, these tags with washing instructions were converted to various tools that may come in handy in the nature. The survival kit consists of layers of metal that contain a sextant, saw, water purifier, fishing tool and sundial while also containing the how-to-use and washing instructions. All the writings and the barcode on the labels are printed with UV light technology, finalized after going through various processes. With these survival kits, Columbia aims to help the consumers with unpredictable external factors in the nature, by also complimenting its products. The consumers can access how-to videos about the tools by scanning the QR codes on the labels.
