Palestinian Photographer Captured The Colors Of Children’s Eyes In Gaza

Fadi Thabet is a Palestinian school teacher in one of the schools of Gaza Strip in Palestine. He is also a freelance photographer.

“I was not expected to have such a collection of colorful eyes in Gaza. It is a joyful surprise!” What Fadi did was not photo sessions, he went out in walks in the streets of the city. The children reacted spontaneously seeing the camera and the result was that he caught some of the very special moments in the everyday life of those children.

In this collection children’s eyes are telling childhood stories, from Gaza under siege.

Basically good shots but spoiled by the excessive post production to enhance the eyes - pity.

It was interesting and relevant until the last two words. Now it's just a "Bash Israel" piece of b******t.

Funny, my first thought when I saw this is that many people in the Anti-Israel camp, probably including this photographer, try to deny the fact that Jews are indigenous to Israel, by pointing to the fact that some Jews have light skin or eye color. But looking at these photos, it is obvious that either these "Arabs" aren't from the region either, or that those traits are quite common there. Kind of an "own goal", here.

So people are classified according to the color of eyes and skin, according to you? Zionists were and are till now "imported" from all around the world. Some of them are black from Ethiopia and some are from Yemen and I raq and others are from Russia. Israel was created out of a theory, a stolen land and "imported" people. Before 1948, Jews, Christians, Muslims and Atheists used to live in Palestine until suddenly Balfour submitted to Zionists and claimed the land to be Jews' land. Funny, how countries or nations have been created out of the bloom, isn't it? That was the most horrible thing to happen in the Modern era.

These children could be from Syria, Afghanistan or parts of the USA as well. No different just a different world they are growing up in.

All beautiful children. So sad they're raised to become so ugly and hate- filled!

Beautiful children. What a tragedy that their leadership is doing so wrong by them, stealing billions in aid intended to improve the quality of life for these very children, indoctrinating them from birth to hate, inciting them to violence, and rewarding their families for sacrificing them as martyrs for nothing.

it is not about corrupted leadership, simply. they live under siege and their country is colonised. they have the right to live in an independent country like yours and mine.. martyrdom is a honor when one is fighting to be free and to free his people.. Malkolm X was a martyr in a different way, for example.

I made similar pictures in Gaza in 1968. My theory was (is) that the color of their eyes is the legacy of the crusaders' DNA! Gaza has been a mayor trade crossroads for centuries (millennia even).
