I’m Making A Coffee-Table Book To Support Veterans With PTSD-Trained Service Dogs (27 Pics)
I've been a portrait artist here in Portland for 22 years, and this is my fourth fundraising coffee-table book of 'Pets and Their Peoples'. This one is for Northwest Battle Buddies—they raise, train, and GIVE PTSD-trained service dogs to vets with PTSD. The impact is out-of-this-world!
These are images from my upcoming book, and some from previous books.

That's Chelle with her 17-year old 'Yote, her two 15-year old dogs Buck and Ammy, and her 99 year-old mother, Kathryn (now 101)
Kelly is a veterinarian and a dog sled racer. Her lead 'melted' my backdrop while on three legs. A truly impressive display of "I'M the leader here, bucko!" attitude.
A friend of mine gave me that toy shopping cart and along came Alice (at 3.7 pounds and 8 years old!) B O I N G !
The eyes bore into your soul and say: "I love you, I want treats, I love you, I want treats"
I love dogs, but this one is either VERY overweight or bred to look REALLY wide. Either way, that dog looks VERY uncomfortable. :(
That's Dillon and Dash - you guess who's who! : - )
Kari is such a yoga-maniac. "Can you do a tree pose?" "Yep!" "Can you hold Otis and Milo in each hand while you do it?" "Yep!" "Can you hold Otis and Milo in each hand ON A CHAIR while you do it?" "Yep!" Proof positive!
Adorable photos! And as someone who lives with PTSD- you’re doing an honorable thing here, and God bless you for doing it.
These are stunning! Thank you for showcasing how much service pets can mean to someone with PTSD.
Charles, your photos are gorgeous and so is your soul. Thank you for doing such a wonderful thing for our veterans and their service dogs.
