In a previous interview with Bored Panda, the creator of Classical Damn shared his opinion on the appeal of these memes: "Even though the paintings are hundreds of years old, their expressions and captions make it seem they are one of us."
The artist also shared that finding the right paintings “with accurate expressions and resolution is time-consuming," but that’s what it takes to create original content.
Classical Damn page is also contributing to art history as more and more people “started appreciating art after seeing them on their feeds and then trying to learn more about their backgrounds.”
The creator shared his excitement: “Technology has made its interpretation and access inclusive. The future will be an exciting period for art and I'm looking forward to it."
There is no doubt that art plays a significant part in our lives, and we can only hope that creators like Classical Damn will continue to find more fun and unique ways to engage even broader audiences.
