A Mennonite commented earlier about how they sensor the encyclopedia, PCC strives to accommodate the most strict parents and religious beliefs. When I attended there was at least one girl I knew that was in the art program who was a Mennonite. She was only permitted to attend PCC because of their mission to provide as few opportunities for someone to objectify sexually what is in the textbooks and what is in the library. PCC is not for most people but it gives kids from super conservatives a place to get an accredited degree and have an opportunity to then ‘escape’ their parents if they choose. I know one art major who graduated that is a tattoo artist of hyper realistic tattoos.

In fact, the Protestant movement led to the creation of the Second Vatican Council, the same council that aimed to modernize the church. The Pilgrims went to America seeking religious freedom during the reign of King James I. King James I was a lifelong Protestant. The Puritans, the Pilgrims, had increased in number and that led to the further alienation of Anglicans and Puritans from one another. The Pigrims were called Separatists because they were Protestants who did not follow the Church of England. The Church of England as you can remember was created by Henry VIII because the Roman Catholic Church refused to grant him a divorce. During the time in England, The Church of England aka Anglicans were the majority. They confiscated catholic properties, executed catholic priests, dissolved monasteries and etc. That was the start of the tension between Anglicans and Catholics in the UK.
