This Swiss Cinema Replaced All Of Their Seats With Double Beds

Ever dreamed of a cinema in your bedroom? Us too. Well, one cinema in Switzerland got as close to your dream as possible by opening a ‘VIP bedroom’ screen with double beds instead of traditional (read: boring) seats. The ‘VIP bedroom’ can be found in Switzerland inside Cinema Pathé in the northwesterly municipality of Spreitenbach near the Swiss-German border. Does anyone fancy a trip to Switzerland?

More info: Pathé Schweiz

The unique cinema is bound to feature 11 beds with adjustable headrests, grey and beige sheets, and two pillows. There are even bedside tables to make the experience as home-like and chill as possible.

The cinema offers VIP tickets for which you get a double bed to lay in and free food

A VIP ticket costs 49 francs (around $48.50) and includes free food and a drink, while regular tickets cost 19.50 francs (or $19). By paying for the VIP ticket, you also won’t have to wait in queues to get your snacks and drinks, either.

Other additional benefits are also included in the VIP ticket

The cinema even offers slippers to enhance the experience for you. And in case that’s not fancy enough for you, Venanzio Di Bacco, the CEO of Pathé Switzerland has also announced that they’re launching new food offerings including waffles and crepes.

The cinema features double sofas as well

Other VIP experiences include a cinema with double sofas (pictured above) as well as a 350-capacity IMAX screen. For those worrying about the hygiene, Venanzio Di Bacco told the media that the sheets will be changed between every single film. He also added: “The hygiene aspect is very important to us.”

And the little movie-goers get to enjoy their own area

Not only do adults get to enjoy the new cinema experience – there’s a children’s cinema area as well and it has bean bags, a ball pit, and even a slide to use instead of stairs. The ticket for kids costs 14.50 francs ($14) per child.

The CEO of the cinema added: “The offer is unique in Switzerland. But we tested the concept abroad and had no problems so far.”

People on the Internet were joking that the ‘new generation of cinema babies’ is bound to be born

I actually prefer to sit when watching a movie than to recline. I fall asleep if I'm laying down.

Then you shouldn't go to movie theaters at all. Oprah did a show 15โ€“20 years ago where environmental testers analyzed swabs taken at all kinds of common situations -- spoon handles at buffet restaurants, toilet seats in public restrooms, seats and armrests in movie theaters, taxi cabs, the chairs occupied by her own studio audience. Movie theater fabrics bore more fecal matter and saliva than restrooms or port-a-potties.

yeah, it sounds like a great idea...until you have horny teens (or uncouth adults) getting carried away during some of these movies that leave little to the imagination when it comes to sex scenes...falling asleep while being too comfortable & wasting the money you spent...other people's odors & drool...no thanks!
