Getting the opportunity to spend Christmas in New York City was a dream come true for me. For as long as I can remember, I have always wanted to visit Manhattan during Christmas time. Things happen, life happens, and that dream got pushed to the back burner. I’ve had the chance to visit a few other places, even New York City, but never at Christmas. This time of year is busy for everyone, and traveling during the holiday season can be very stressful. So a friend of mine and I made our plans long in advance and made a checklist of all the things that we wanted to see to make our few days there as productive and enjoyable as possible. The effort was well worth it…. we had a blast! There is nothing quite like New York City during the holiday season. The city is alive with Christmas lights and festive holiday displays; we saw Christmas towns, the ice-skating rink at Rockefeller Center, and the amazing light show projected onto the side of Saks Fifth Avenue (which was amazing) and much much more. The weather was cold, but not overly so, and the Christmas spirit in the air was almost tangible. If you can make it work, I can guarantee you that visiting New York City during the holiday season is an experience you’ll never forget! I also took a couple of beautiful pictures of New York at Christmas, so scroll down below and see for yourself!
