We need more posts like this. Thank you for sharing, I feel better for humanity. We need to see the good examples more.

Once when we were moving in to a new apartment (one of those deals where they split a house into an upstairs and downstairs apartment), we’re struggling - my mom in her 50s, me 17 and small, my sister was 22? This group of guys were doing lawn care a few houses down. They come over, half of them don’t seem to speak English, the apparent leader has broken English, he asks if we need help. Eventually we’re like “yeah, sure” so this team of 6 Hispanic landscapers moved all of our furniture in, up the stairs into the apartment, along with boxes and stuff. They finish and my mom offers them money. We didn’t have a lot, it was basically everything in her wallet. The lead guy refuses. Mom is like “please take it, you helped out so much. Buy your guys some pizza.” The guy refuses again. Finally my mom suggest donating it to his church and then the guys are all like “Oh, yeah, okay.” We never saw them again. I hope they’re all doing well. It was very kind.

I dig the switch up! However, not nearly as entertaining as "choosy beggars." Hahaha. Maybe it's because these ppl make me feel inferior. Unlike the choosy beggars who make me feel better about myself bahaha.

My Great-Grandma won $500 once gambling. (She spent money to get it, and really enjoyed it. She can also afford it.) She was at a cousin's baseball game, and heard that one of the players was struggling financially. She brought him to her car, and gave him $400. She figured that it wasn't really"her money" because she didn't earn it, so didn't figure it a huge loss of money, just a diminished lucky earning. He and his wife came the next game a few weeks later and told her that his father had come and stolen $300 from them. Her kindness completely negated the stolen money, and left them with $100. I love her and her incredible kindness.

Long story short; once i had to take a flight back home from another country with my youngest son (a baby). When i got home it was almost midnight and i realized my husband (who didnt travel back with us) had the keys for our apartment and i could not get in. It was freezing outside and i was stressed. A young man that i didnt know came out from the student house on the other side of the street with a blanket and said he saw us from his window and thought we needed help. It could be a really dangerous situation but i was tired and scared my son would get cold so i decided to trust him. He gave me food and his bed for the night for me and my son (he slept on the sofa). In a tiny student apartment. I called for help to get in to our apartment the next day but that restored my faith in humanity and that some people still just want to help. No hidden agenda - just for the sake of being a good fellow human. I'm forever grateful and will pass it on. Just like the people here!

Sometimes people just know when it's right to do the right thing.

Part of us are compassionate and amazing people in this world! We can all strive to pay it forward!

This is what I love seeing on BP. A cynical , sarcastic joker ... but we need to be nicer to each other . Does this mean I'm getting old or ... *gasp* mature ?

I'm working on getting a friend a gift. It involves getting something 3D printed. I was having terrible luck with my searches and finally found someone who prints things on Etsy. I said I knew I didn't have the right file type and explained how I was trying to work on getting a gift for my friend but I wasn't familiar with all the terms so I wasn't having much luck at all. They not only were very kind about my questioning of things, they provided me with a link to a place where I could possibly get someone to make me my image in the file type needed, which led me to another awesome person who is not only incredibly kind and made me feel good about the things I was getting done, but because I was giving him a bunch of time and had several things that needed to be done, he gave me a deal! I'm planning on going back to the person who helped me so much to get them printed when they are ready! They did all this, helping me with terms and such without any guarantee that this would go beyond

I love post like this! It's so heartwarming to know there are still good people in such a world in which we live. Maybe there is hope for humanity after all. Thanks for sharing. It was a great read on a bad day.
