Child actors are a tricky subject—their first appearances can be the start of a successful career or their one and only shining star moment. And while some actors might drift away in the long run, the roles they took once will forever be immortalized on the silver screen, leaving us with fond memories that we can look back on. The focus will be placed on shows and movies from the 1990s to mid-2000s, taking a look at the iconic roles (who knows, maybe it's time for a marathon of oldie-but-goodie movies).

I’m sorry. Why is the movie that got nominated for an Oscar less well known than “A.I. Artificial Intelligence?” Since when isn’t “The Sixth Sense” a well-known movie? And why am I posting something on Bored Panda?

Jeez this literally feels like a year or so ago. Clearly I’m getting older.
The current photos for most of these people were bad. I mean, bad angle, bad lighting, weird close-ups. I don’t expect them all to be supermodel pretty in every picture, but these were not good pictures.
My heart goes out to some of these child actors, a lot of talent, but so much pain. not really getting to experience childhood and innocence. Being constantly judged and over sexualized by adults. I couldn't imagine how rough these people must have had it, only to be crushed by the same industry as they grow up.
No wonder they turned to substance abuse. Look what happened to Jack Wilde after Oliver! and H R Puff n Stuff.
Load More Replies...Its me or the OP really hates some of these people, based on the NOW pics?
you violeta--why pic terrible "now" pics for so many of them? it would be nice if you did a little digging and had some text giving an update on their lives.
Are some of these really "then & now" material? Are people really wondering what Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Taylor Lautner or Neil Patrick Harris looks like today? Lautner hasn't been on screen since 2018 sure, but the other two have worked until today & have multiple projects in development.
I wonder what happened to “Buster” in Blues Brothers 2000. Hope he has a nice musical career.
I started feeling old the day I got out of bed, and my ankle started hurting.
To whoever wrote this article: PLEASE do better job next time picking pictures! You chose very unflattering pictures for some and that is wrong. I'm not sure if you don't like them or what but do better research.
I haven't watched most of them, tbh. No even Home Alone
Load More Replies...Joseph Gordon Levit (I know spelled his name wrong) seems like the only one who was able to break the curse and still continue working in the industry.
