I'm not usually a big follower of international political events, but I am keenly watching VP Harris/Mr Walz's progress... I wish them all the best in their contest with the Republican opposition, who will not be named (as not to give them any more social media coverage).

I'd vote for one a doggy poop bag filled with my puppy's poop over the Orange Thing. XD It's funny, because I was *technically* raised Republican (I was born in 1982, and trust me, younger people who read this: being a Republican wasn't AS unhinged in the 80s/90s as it is now.) I voted once when I turned 18 (2000) but then realized I was incredibly disillusioned with politics and I didn't vote again until 2016 (I felt like my vote "didn't count".) I realize now how wrong I was. EVERY vote DOES count, and mine will be forever cast against the Orange Thing!

I know how you feel! I was so excited to be able to vote someday when I was a kid/teenager. I even made posters supporting Ross Perot (...it was 1992, I was 10, I was fascinated by the idea of an "independent" candidate, lol.) I turned 18, voted once, and then became so disillusioned by the political climate in the US that I didn't vote at all for decades (something I regret now.) I felt like my vote "didn't matter". But I came out of "no-voting retirement" to try to defeat the Orange Thing the first time it ran in 2016 (sadly the Orange Thing was too deceptive and won) but I have been actively voting since then, even in my local citywide elections/ordinances! I now see how IMPORTANT it is for even my ONE vote to be cast! Hang in there, stay educated about BOTH sides of politics, and looking forward to you joining the voting ranks someday! <3
