Relationships are hard work, and although we’re all bound to experience some difficulties, it’s crucial to set your limits.
Sometimes, a person is going through a rough patch that triggers them to act differently, or perhaps your beloved partner is simply revealing their true self – whatever the reasoning is, tackling such issues can be challenging.
We’re all aware that communication is vital in just about every aspect of life, which is why it’s in your best interests to talk through your struggles.
However, at times, talking doesn’t help, and your significant other may not understand what consequences his actions carry, leaving you no other choice than to expose him to his already fed-up boss.

“AITA for causing my husband to get fired?” – this woman turned to a well-known subreddit to find out whether she’s indeed a jerk for exposing her lazy husband to his boss, who was tired of his abnormally regular absences. The post has managed to receive over 11K upvotes and 1.5K worth of comments discussing the man’s irresponsibility.

The author began her post by revealing that her husband has a habit of making up excuses just to get out of work. She said his laziness has affected their family financially because even though his boss is still hanging onto him, he keeps lowering his salary.

In fact, the OP had to get a second job to support their relationship.
However, recently the man bought a PS5 from his 14-year-old cousin, and he’s been playing day and night ever since. He skipped a couple of shifts and lied to his boss about having clichéd emergencies such as diarrhea or a fever.
Naturally, the author got fed up with him taking his job for granted and making them struggle financially. She said that he needed to knock it off, yet was told to “stay out of it and focus on her jobs.”

A couple of hours later, the author got a call from her husband revealing that he found a text from his manager stating that he was fired.
The man caused a scene and asked the woman whether she said anything that led him to do this. She said that she told him the truth, and the husband lashed out stating that he was “cooking up” an excuse to get his boss off his back but she had gone and messed it all up.
The OP argued that he couldn’t blame her after the lack of commitment he’d shown to his boss.
The man hung up but the text messages kept coming.

When the OP arrived home, she was greeted with the silent treatment – however, the husband did occasionally vent about how she ruined his job.

Why are you with him? - you got a SECOND job to support his lazy. I'm unemployed, my man works. He can play what he wants and when, he works full time and his dedication to his work has allowed me to stay at home. Under no circumstances would I expect him to get a second job so I could continue being at home. And I'm literally off work due to health l,
Work becomes the spouses business the moment that his lack of performance results her having to work extra hours, particularly if it's as a result of choices he makes rather than issues he can't control. Marriages are supposed to be partnerships and clearly he isn't holding up his end of the deal.
