@Pamula Furness: Debates have been going for decades (first World Climate Conference was in 1979). A lot of solutions have been presented, and their pros and cons discussed. A lot of empty promises have been made and not kept (Germany won't meet it's goals by a LONG shot). How long, exactly, is this "careful evaluation" and "not rushing" supposed to last? 50 years (nearly there)? A hundred?

I am referring to this cartoon, not about about "Twitter wars". The cartoon is indicating that the parents are discussing current politics while the kid is "preparing for a global warming hellscape". THAT is something we do not need to ignore, it will affect them tremendously, and the collusion or no collusion argument will be old and stale in a decade. The Earth, however, will continue to go to sh*t until we DO something.

We have 10 years till we reach a point of climate and ecological destruction were there is NO CHANCE OF TURNING BACK! We need to change and change now! This is my future sitting in your hands. People like you are the reason that we are in this terrifying mess. We need to change and we need action now, not later, NOW!

I get where you are coming from, I think. There's no need to go rushing blindly in, we need to evaluate the damage and act accordingly. Panicking never helped anything. More pressure has to be put onto developing 3rd World countries, otherwise our contribution to halting Climate Change is meaningless. Sorry for rant, this is a topic close to my heart. :-)
