Absolutely. IMO, Depp is playing a great social media game, and he's doing it deliberately to intimidate Heard. I found this Newsweek article insightful. It includes Depp's texts where he talks about his plans to try to publicly humiliate Amber as his revenge against her for talking about her experience with domestic violence. Her flounce out of the courtroom before the jury had been dismissed (which is disrespectful) showed how pissed she was to be called on her BS.

In fact, by saying "this is how strong women look", you're saying Black women, red heads, Asians, etc AREN'T strong because these photos AREN'T how THEY look. By saying "look like" WAZ makes them examples of strength, so though her grammar may not be perfect, she made her point better than you. In fact, society needs to talk about "strong women" only because there are still too many petty men out there posting things like you. Want to be a strong, intelligent person, Phill? Imagine thinking everyone speaks English as their first language. That's a really common grammatical error made by lots of people with English as a second language. How many languages do you speak flawlessly?

Do you speak more than one language? Leave this person alone, they got their point across in a second language extremely clearly. It’s not even grammatically incorrect.

The number of people who get furious at being corrected is disheartening. It doesn’t matter if it’s your native language or not - if no one ever corrects it because „we understand what they mean“ they’ll never learn. It’s an odd jump to call this mansplaining - I constantly have to hold myself back from saying exactly what Phil said and I am penis-free. I wish the internet weren’t such an angry place.

No, not right, wrong, not how that works. What Amber Heard has done is discredit herself through elaboration and lies. She has not discredited any future cases of abuse. She isn't the Supreme Court. She doesnt have the power to change judicial rules. Domestic abuse will happen, and if anything this case has underlined, highlighted, and capitalized on the danger of anything "he said she said" . Also pointed out by this case and all relationships, abuse happens both ways and also in same sex. The evidence is what matters and specific to Amber's case, she isn't allowed to make s**t up and cause her Ex to lose millions in possible income because of a lie. This is a wake up call that our USA hodgepodge of patchwork laws make it too damn difficult to protect our selves from ourselves.

My stepmother who has since passed away abused my dad in similar fashion as a kid way back. I personally witnessed how she threw a pot of hot water at him one evening, I will never forget it. And then when he defended himself she tried to shout victim, luckily I was there.

But also what Amber does shows that there are in fact men who are not 100% at fault and they wrongly face the entire weight of consequence in these situations. Johnny isn't a saint, but there is no equality in a world in which we cancel him, but let what she did go without recourse.

They'll more than likely be bashed back if they have evidence against them. Women are still overwhelmingly believed when it comes to rape and abuse compared to men. We just need to let the evidence reveal itself.

And someones life won't be ruined by another person's lies. That's kind of important.
