I spied some of these cheerful boxes while out walking near my home in Auckland and they inspired me to discover more of them throughout New Zealand.
A few years ago, the Keep NZ Beautiful Society and telecommunications company Chorus created a cabinet art programme to bring smiles and deter taggers.

Hi Magpie, This photo is definitely genuine and is featured on the Chorus telecommunications site. The black underneath is just the base of the cabinet which is less deep than the actual cabinet.
