110 Epic Photos From Burning Man 2018 That Prove It’s The Craziest Festival In The World
What was once a genuinely radical festival, based on principles of inclusion, decommodification, self-reliance and communal effort, Burning Man festival has changed somewhat.
With your average person in Burning Man's 2018 edition needing to shell out $1500 over the course of the art festival, 'escaping capitalism' in order to rub shoulders with spaced out Silicon Valley brogrammers and pseudo-bohemian billionaires doesn't come cheap for the opportunity to capture the most amazing pictures for your Instagram.
Of course, there is still a large core of regulars and those who attend in the true spirit of the Buring Man festival, the installations are pretty amazing, and the atmosphere is as intense as ever. Those that we mostly see however are the same old Instagram influencers, whose habit of taking similarly posed photos can make even an event like this seem like we've seen it all before.
Luckily, we here at Bored Panda have managed to compile a list of awesome Burning Man photos from this years event, scroll down below to check them out for yourself and let us know what you think in the comments!

Everything and all photos are amazing, but(t) this one made me laugh :))
This looks great! Experiencing the inside in real life must be pretty amazing
If she does not put sun block on it is going to be called Burning Lady
That red is really popping- gorgeous portrait - she has a lovely relaxed and friendly expression
So I'm thinking Burning Man is for female models in their early 20's with a liking towards spacey futuristic clothing made out of very small pieces of fabric.
Oh. So when they installed it the orb was a mirror, but several days in it got covered in dust. They forgot to coat the thing to avoid static electricity.
Epic selfie! I admit, if I was there I'd be taking ridiculous amounts of images as well. The setting and atmosphere is completely alluring to my aesthetic sensibilities- I just couldn't handle the gritty accommodations. Maybe when I was 20....alas those days are gone.
This should be the poster of a cyberpunk or steampunk movie
I love the art work but burning man has changed so much that I kind of feel it is a wannabe bohemian festival now along the lines of Coachella in many ways. I am sure that there are those that keep the spirit of it alive but it seems that now it is more stylized with the costumes and poses. sad to see it happen to this event.
So its like Mad Max but with a seething hive of modern, attractive, half naked hipsters wearing goggles...I'll stay at home ;)
just shell out 1000k to join the "radically inclusive hippies" in a smelly, dust infested desert scorching hot with porta potties with people who aren't really radically inclusive because only hot models can go lmao
Load More Replies...So where do they keep the ugly ones? Every time I see photos from Burning Man it is of 'beautiful' people wearing costumes...I have no idea what they do when they get there. Look at one another?
Obviously all the ugly people get run off the road before they get there. This post has really upset me, I thought (through no first/second hand experience) that burning man was for people to get away from modern life and embrace life and art and whatever you want. Looking at this it's full of poseurs pressuring people to look great.....
These are just Instagram photos from popular accounts though. They aren’t representative of the entire experience.
