Bumblebees Around Us

I’m not sure how interesting is this topic for you, but this is my passion last three years and I’d like to share of it with you.

In view of the fact that we are to face to a shortage of bees, and therefore with a small crop of fruit trees that usually bloom when it is relatively cold, I decided to show how beautiful breeding of bumblebees can be. These tireless workers do not mind the cold or moderate rain, unlike bees, who are lazy pandas, and at a time when we need them they do not fly. Some species are protected, and so the person can help create favorable conditions for their reproduction. Bumblebee breeding is not always easy and unfortunately such a peaceful insect has many enemies. If a person wants a good harvest and is afraid of bees like me, bumblebees are ideal helpers.

Sorry for my english :)
PS: Yes, they have a sting (except the males) and it really hurts :)

Bombus lapidarius loves chive…

Bombus pascuorum

Most of them love sage…

I love to sit and watch them on my different plants. particularly my hostas! I watch them and they ignore me completely. I have not been stung by them. Honey bees, wasp, honest, ground hornets? Yes to all. But not a bumblebee. I enjoy seeing the orange sacks on the back legs. So beautiful and I assume a good 'sign'?

I spent many many hours watching them and for me it's the best relaxation. I noticed that each species has a favorite plant (if they have a choice). When I was young, I found an exhausted bumblebee on the ground, I wanted to take him away, and I got stung by him. Ungrateful individuum :) And this year, I got stung by my own worker, she just defended the nest... :) It is certainly a good sign :)
