I am a wedding photographer from Cluj-Napoca, Romania and I want to tell you a little story. It’s about how important moments are with your loved ones. Oxana and Patrick visited their grandmother at the hospital on their wedding day. They have given up some of the time dedicated to their photo shooting to spend a few moments with their sick grandmother. She could not be with them on the big day, but they made a very pleasant surprise. It was a very emotional moment for everyone. Patrick said, “When you’ll get out of the hospital, you’ll make yourself beautiful, we’ll dress up the bride’s and groom’s clothes again, and we’ll make new photos.” I insisted on going to document this moment with photos because during their wedding, my grandmother was in hospital too, suffering from end-stage lung cancer. No matter how much we want our loved ones to accompany us all our lives, at some point we have to say goodbye to them. And then, the only things that remain are memories and photos. Meanwhile, my grandmother lost the fight with the disease, but I know how much she would have liked me to see as groom. I would like to congratulate this young family for this beautiful gesture and I am glad that I was a part of this emotional moment. God bless you and your grandmother.
