Arber Bytyqi (previously here, here, and here) is a professional makeup artist and beauty influencer with over 450,000 followers on social media. But his success and popularity didn't happen overnight. The two were long in the making.
Arber knew what he wanted to do pretty much since his childhood but his family opposed it. "In our culture, a male in the beauty industry is considered taboo," he explained in an earlier Bored Panda interview. "So, at first, I got a master’s degree in economics, and only then did I follow my dream and started working as a makeup artist."
Years later, he is as passionate as ever, working with more than one thousand brides per year. Here are some of the latest transformations that Arber and his team have done.

"When I meet my client, the first question I ask is what kind of occasion are they getting their makeup done for," Arner once told us. "I also ask my clients if they have any specific requests. For example, if they want a natural or dramatic look.
"Then I ask them [to show me] the dress that they are going to wear. The design of the dress and its details reveal the style of the look the client is going for. Then, I analyze their facial features."

She's beautiful without make-up. With make-up they all look the same. If you put them in a line, most grooms wouldn't recognize their wife. It's okay to use more make-up on your wedding day, but why do you want to look nothing like you normally look?
When the pandemic isn't ravaging the world, Arber and his team usually serve more than one thousand brides in a year. "The summer, in particular, is a very demanding season for wedding makeup. During this period, we serve as many as 60 or more clients daily."
Naturally, such a big client base requires a lot of help. Arber's team consists of 25 people (15 makeup artists and 10 hair stylists).

Photoshop. No amount of makeup (unless it’s prosthetics) will change the shape of your chin and eyes and neither will it whiten your eyes and teeth like that.

Simple elegant makeup would’ve worked wonders here. She looks horribly photoshoped in the after pic.
But he has trained even more people. "Some of my students are working part-time and some are full-time employees."
Arber has enough resources to attend to up to 100 clients per day. "We start our workdays early in the morning and make sure our schedule has absolutely no impact on the quality of services, satisfying all of their needs." Of course, the coronavirus has had its toll on these numbers. "In the Balkans, the wedding is one of the biggest events in a person's life. But due to the pandemic, a lot of them were postponed," Arber said.

Again with the photoshop! Urgh. Thinned her face (funny how the slight double chin disappears and her chin becomes slightly pointier) and overuse of the blur tool. These are all beautiful women, teach them how to enhance what they have not change what they have, this whole BP post is very disingenuous and actually quite harmful to women.

And bridal make-up is supposed to be very light, just enough to bring out your natural beauty. At least that's the way it's done where I'm from. Such heavy make-up for your wedding is so weird, why would you want to look like a completely different person on this day? I feel bad for the grooms too, it must be an unpleasant surprise for your wife-to-be to turn up looking like a plastic doll.

they ended up looking very similar to each other. I have nothing against heavy makeup or makeup that dramatically changes your appearance, but it's important to preserve the uniqueness of each individual and not just paint the same mask over everyone's face.

This is very poor makeup skills, this "artist" should not be praised. Looks like he learnt how to do only one look using the same contouring scheme, same eye lines, exactly the same eye brow lines, the same heavy coloring etc. The all look like plastic sex dolls. All individual features are erased.

Why do the beautiful women on the left hand-side are shown in comparison to manequins on the right-hand side that do not even look similar to them? (I respect the makeup artist's work and skills, I understand the wish to look great for marriage, but I do not comprehend why anyone would choose a literal masquerade. I truly hope these people felt great and had an even greater day, but I still cannot grasp the rationale. Is anyone able to explain?)

I'm not saying it's not pretty.... but why do they all look like Brat dolls afterwards? I am getting married in December and I definitely do NOT want to look like that. A little bit of makeup to hide my imperfections (dark circles, un even skin tone) Yes. But look completely fake? no thanks. FH wouldn't like it anyway.

Poor women looking so plastic. To turn yourself into a doll even for a day, why women have to go through this. Those faces are so drastically distorted and all of them will never look like this ever again. It's like hiring someone else to act as a bride on your own wedding. No wonder men in the make up industry are taboo. Men simply don't understand female physical features and turn all of them into lifeless non-human looking creatures.

A really excellent make-up artist knows how to apply makeup to enhance a woman's good points and reduce the bad ones. This guy just takes the face, wipes it clean and starts building a new face from scratch. They pretty much all looked exactly the same after he was finished. Granted, he had different face shapes to work with, but that was about it. Not a fan of this guy.

All of the ladies looked lovely as they were before inches of make up was caked over their faces - don't forget the faces on the left are the ones that their future spouses fell in love with. They look so generic in the right hand pictures and don't look a bit like themselves. If I had turned up at my wedding with a similar make up job, I think my husband would not have recognised me! This whole thing sends a terrible message as to what is acceptable in terms of beauty.

My friend had this kind of makeup done for a professional photo shot. It looked nothing like her! She gave it to her fiance and he didn't recognize her. They put it in a drawer somewhere and never showed it. She's beautiful just the way she is, as these brides are BEFORE.

Such a shame! Beautiful young women changing in plastic dolls. The pictures of the wedding will be weird, the bride with a funny yellowish "tan"colour next to her husband and guests with a normal skin colour. To much make-up in comparison with mother/sisters/friends so the pictures will be weird. Maybe now they think is beautiful but after a while when these looks are out, they will regret it and be disapointed to see the wedding-pictures. Normally the bridal make-up is subtle so the bride shines with her beauty.

Nobody is rude to them. We mostly criticize the makeup artist. If you look only at one photo - yeah, maybe it looks cool. But if you see the whole collection, it becomes evident that this artist knows exactly one makeup style. Despite all those women having absolutely different facial features, they all get the same eyebrow shape, the same lip shape, the same fake eyelashes, the same contouring pattern, and even the same eyeliner wings.

Such a shame! Beautiful young women changing in plastic dolls. The pictures of the wedding will be weird, the bride with a funny yellowish "tan"colour next to her husband and guests with a normal skin colour. To much make-up in comparison with mother/sisters/friends so the pictures will be weird. Maybe now they think is beautiful but after a while when these looks are out, they will regret it and be disapointed to see the wedding-pictures. Normally the bridal make-up is subtle so the bride shines with her beauty.

I think they all look beautiful. Why can't you people just not be rude? It's their freaking wedding day. They can look as different and amazingly beautiful as they want.

Nobody is rude to them. We mostly criticize the makeup artist. If you look only at one photo - yeah, maybe it looks cool. But if you see the whole collection, it becomes evident that this artist knows exactly one makeup style. Despite all those women having absolutely different facial features, they all get the same eyebrow shape, the same lip shape, the same fake eyelashes, the same contouring pattern, and even the same eyeliner wings.
