His family had all been killed off by monsters, craving the touch of a bird's feather. He sat there, alone, taking in his last breath before his demise. His limp body fell to the ground with a small thump. The bird's body lay on the cold concrete, as snow fell upon the small body of the bird. His name was Stewart.
How'd you get a swift to sit still long enough for such a capture?! Such had birds to photograph
Mister, you can conquer the air, but the birds will lose their Wonder and the clouds will smell of gasoline
The photographer is Seth Casteel and there are plenty more where this comes from.
I gifted that book to my mum as a birthday present once. She LOVED it.
Load More Replies...I see cat, I upvote. I see multiple cats cuddling... well, I still upvote, cause there's nothing more to do than love the pic
Anyone can pop a wheelie. It's having the balance and agility to remain upright that's impressive.
The cat is on the outside. It would be cuter if the cat were inside and the kid were inside. That way everybody is where they belong.

However, there is also a small chance that this represents an acute stroke.
"You scratch my back, I scratch yours." They're grooming each other BTW. I had a horse once who would groom ME if I scratched a certain spot on her back. Had to be careful she didn't get too vigorous though. :)
Well I'm being followed by a pool shadow. Pool shadow, pool shadow. (Apologies to Cat Stevens)

Almost scanned down quickly bc I thought it was a spider and I'm terrified of spiders (even in photos...)

I saw that - we were in Edinburgh for the day and could see the chimneys at Cockenzie power station come down right on schedule way off on the coast.

"There was movement at the station, for the word had passed around That the colt from old Regret had got away, And had joined the wild bush horses - he was worth a thousand pound, So all the cracks had gathered to the fray."

Load More Replies...Those kids were fast as lightning! // very first thought that came to mind, I'm glad I'm not the only one ;D
Load More Replies...This is kind of funny but it is also SUCH an Asian vibe. Small size motorbike with too many people, too much cargo, everyone is wearing flip flops and there are chickens about. This is apparently Indonesia (Eko Mie is a top ramen type soup noodle made by Wings Food in Indonesia). But this could be any street in Philippines. One time there was seven of us on a trike. As the fat American I sat on the luggage rack behind the driver to help balance the load.
This photo made me very uncomfortable. Judgement between the "Haves" and the "Have Nots". One would very much appreciate what the other has.
This hurts my heart... I wish I could give this boy some clothes, a hug and a place to be safe :'-(
That is sad. And I've seen it a number of times in real life. Third world street urchin staring at the people who 'have'. At least this kid has some bread. On one trip to PI I hired a street urchin to carry my stuff and also took him on base and we got fried chicken and watched ET at the base movie theater. It wasn't much but you'd think he'd found the W***y Wonka golden ticket. EDIT: Silly BP thinks "WILL - E" can only be a naughty word.
Probably S America - although the way things have been since #45 screwed N.America, it could be there too ....

Cats belong outside! Ideally they have a cat flap can roam freely between indoors and out.
Load More Replies...I used to do this with my grandkids. Stand near the shore with back to ocean. Wind tends to come in off the ocean. The seagulls approach from the land side which lets them sort of 'hover' on the breeze.
Load More Replies...I swear, my 22YO is still traumatized by the seagull that stole his hotdog when he was 5. That bird was not to be denied!
Don’t you guys know by know that we prefer ice cream as we have shown you our preferences but you still don’t get it??
So glad I live in America, where we can just toss our chairs in the chair dryer
Spare chairs for company without taking up space inside ?

And we often wonder why sharks are coming to our beaches to feed on people and why fish stocks are low.
Yep! I just Googled it: the album Under the Table and Dreaming (1994)
Load More Replies...I've ridden on some pretty scary rides, but this ride has always terrified me because the chains aren't much sturdier than an old back yard swing set.
And as we wind on down the road, our shadows taller than our souls

This took me a min to process. At first I thought it was under water.
That's the exact song I heard in my head then I saw this.
Load More Replies...True story - I got super lucky at a ring toss game at a fair and won the giant stuffy. A shipmate wanted it for his wife/girlfriend (I forget) so I gave it to him because I didn't want to carry it around the fair anyway. But then he's whining wanting us to help carry it because he didn't want to carry it around the fair either.
How do ya like my new hat? I know it's a bit cumbersome, but it does a great job of keeping the feral pigs away.

Italy in the 70s, likely Rome, but not sure. That's Baccus if I am not mistaken. Could be just some dude.
He can relax and enjoy himself, they are Grasshoppers, they don't do that. :D
Load More Replies...No such thing. There can be five dimensional space, but the dimensions are not ordered. Is height, length, or width the third dimension, and why should that be?
Load More Replies...Don't buy sugar--you just have to touch my cup! You're my sugar--so sweet when you stir it up! ;3
During Highschool, my best friend, (sweetest, most caring and ridiculously humble - just good peoples), started dating his first boyfriend who was a bit spicy, to say the least. My friend said, "you're like sugar, super sweet & make everything better." In return, his BF said, "you're like Splenda, (artificial sugar), sweet at first, but leave a weird after taste and eventually cause cancer." This was the first and only time I've ever reacted with physical aggression toward someone. My friends are my family and you don't f#@ck with family! Lol starting to feel spicy just thinking about it...
Load More Replies...One of my chickens did this. Except it was held the correct way. Sitting in the yard - a friend smokes - had her arm sort of down. A chicken wanders by looking for food and snatches her lit cigarette and then runs around the yard trying to keep the other chickens from getting it. It was quite amusing visually.
It's already missing toes, likely due to getting wire/fishing line wrapped around them, and now it's potentially ingesting poison. Humans are such a wonderful addition to the world
Not to mention the poor thing is only there having to scavenge in the first place due to humans breeding them
Load More Replies...That's impressive! It's not every day you get to see a dog balanced on his nose! 😉
The second boy is a real life Casper, but they do play well together👻
He sucks at rebound, though. Lets the ball go right through his legs.

Darwin awards for both of them. No helmets, no control, and on a kick-back braking bike which means it can't stop as instantly or firmly. Y'ain't cute y'all gonna get broken bones. Or dead.
Load More Replies...Thank you for this post, a lot of fun, a bit of magic, a pinch of meditation, a good moment on BP :)
Yea...but most of these are not street photography. Street photography has specific "rules" - two of the main ones are NOT STAGED and RANDOM ENCOUNTERS.
I liked these photos a lot, but they really should have changed the title. Many weren't actually street photos, as you said. (Still enjoyed this list!!)
