During this era, labor unions promised higher salaries, businesses were booming, and new consumer goods were hitting the market shelves. In short, people were living the dream. With prosperity came change as families started heading to the suburbs for a better life.
As corporations kept growing, the markets were filled with more affordable products. Cars, home appliances, TVs – you name it, they had it. Parents wanted to give their families all the material things they couldn’t have.

Yes, substitutes are artificial with many ingredients... but so is most of the s**t they eat too! No one harrasses me when I'm drinking a Diet coke... but heaven forbid I eat a meat substitute. As if they eat real meat because they cared for my health or about the environment.

It's because most people don't like being reminded that we are all complicit in a culture that factory farms sentient beings. What we really need, from an animal welfare perspective, is to reform the meat farming industry, but there's not a good way to currently do that without significantly cutting back on the meat consumption of all humans and dedicating a lot more land to raising livestock.

A boomer is a person born in the "baby boom" generation within 20 years past WW2 in the 20th century, so no, there will never again be any more. Ever. This was just a string of jokes so old they grew hair.

Couldn't get through all of them. It's all 'women bad, hate wife, kids are stupid because they can't work tech that was outdated decades before they were born, the newer generation has different values hisssss'. Like a giant sign saying we're narcissistic bullies who no longer care about the kids who died when we were little, so we'll make fun of kids bike helmets and safety precautions now.
