I Paint “Bodyscapes” That Glow Under Black Light

I’ve always been fascinated by black lights, the beauty of the human body, the world around me and the ability to create and express myself through art. However, it wasn’t until boredom set in, after being stuck in wedding a portrait photography for more than twenty years, that all of these ingredients unexpectedly collided creating what I call “Bodyscapes”. I’m now affectionately referred to as “The Bob Ross of Black Light Body Painting”, because of my style and the types of scene I choose to paint on the human canvas.

Coming from a photographic background I want my paintings to be as photo realistic as possible. In a darkened studio, while painting with UV body paint under the illumination of the black light, I’m literally painting with light. From the artist’s perspective it becomes a very surreal even spiritual experience.

Bro.... I'm going to be real honest here... at first, I was being... and I apologize for my lack of better wording, I know there's real artists in here... pervy. Looking for some not-so-obvious nudes for a club picture. But looking at your work.... the style, the creativity, the colors, the time it must take! Your work is absolutely incredible! The way I came in here, the reason, why I came in here...tch!... I'm humbled by the art to its true fullness!

Absolutely phenomenal... hard to pick a favorite, but I really like "World Apart"... guess it reminds me of the young teen sci-fi novel I published called "The Blue Guardian"...

How did you get the intense white as in the lightning? I use a lot of UV body paints and wonder how much you had to retouch. This is not a put-down, just a technical question. Your work blows me away. :-)

The detail on these paintings are stunning. It narrows the crevasse between humans and the Mother Earth.
