Someone Follows Bob Ross’ Tutorial Video In MS Paint, Gets Absolutely Blown Away By What They Created
Bob Ross‘ tutorials can calm your mind and heart. And you don’t need to rob an art supply store to follow these meditative how-to videos, too. Like Ross himself once said, “You can do anything you want to do. This is your world.” Putting his words to the test, Tumblr user mochachild fired up MS Paint and went to work. Later, she couldn’t believe how good the end result she got was. The techniques Ross showed worked wonders on the legendary boredom-killing program. And she wasn’t the only one to think so. After mochachild uploaded her work online, it received over 342K notes on Tumblr.

For those unfamiliar with Bob Ross’ public television show — how dare you! — The Joy of Painting consisted largely of Ross demonstrating the beauty that is landscape painting. Usually, he painted mountains and trees and streams, all the while sharing incredibly zen knowledge through his soothing voice. His videos were part art instruction, part tranquil wisdom, perfect for those who are obsessed with ASMR.

I'm English and even though I know who he is, we unfortunately didn't have his show over here. I'm only 34 seconds in to the video and I already think he's terrific, he's a joy to watch.
I'm English and my nana had Bob Ross on all the time during the 90s, i mostly watched him when i was feeling ill; he was - and still is - the best medicine when you're not quite yourself! I can't comment on which channel it might have been on, but it was definitely available over here :) Legend. R.I.P. Bob!
