Joe, I'm going to have to pleasantly agree to disagree in this case. I personally think that calling someone "disgusting" in terms of their character for making homophobic and transphobic comments is personally justified. Rereading Julia's comment I believe that they were commenting on J.K. Rowling's character (in reference to her Twitter comments and essay with very questionable comments against trans people) and were not making any nasty digs at J.K Rowling's appearance. Anyone who makes racist, homophobic, and sexist comments has crossed the line in my book. Everyone is entitled to their freedom of opinion. However, having this freedom of opinion means that some people are going to disagree with you, especially when you are on an Internet platform-- pure and simple.
