If you have three special needs children with an overbearing need for personal space and routine and you live in a three bedroom house, it’s you who doesn’t get a bedroom. You can’t even legally house two opposite-sex kids in the same room past a certain age in some places. That said, all children get attached to their personal rooms, and kids on the autism spectrum get attached to their set routines and spaces far more than most. If these parents were intent on making this change they should have been prepping for the transition weeks to months ago, not just springing it on a child they KNOW struggles with transitions. I agree with other posters as well that the whole text reeks of favoritism for the middle daughter to the detriment of all of the children. Middle daughter is no more entitled to the use of the unaltered room than any of them; mom’s weird insistence that she deserves it more is a bad look.

Most of these places can't be reached by car (at least not the last part of the way), and public transport in RURAL Europe is pretty much non existant. It's lovely, but it does have its downsides.

I think it's incredibly sad that this individual who at this point cannot take care of themself at all, has a pet who is dependant on him. That's the reason why the ex is hanging on to the key, to keep the cat alive. She's not responsible for this man. She's got caregiver burnout and she's not even his caregiver.(Edit: save the cat)

She looks very pretty, but makeup brightened her face, but she was pretty originally. She could have trimmed her long hair a bit and added wispy bangs and face framing. Still a lovely young lady.

I get very confused about people saying "white people can't wear their hair braided". I am pretty sure they have found dessicated bodies from Caucasoid, Asiatic and Celtic peoples with intact braided hair and I seem to remember seeing pictures of Egyptian, Greek and Roman statues/figures with braids. I am going to posit the theory that ever since humans got enough dexterity in their hands and enough head hair delineation that hair has been tied up/back in braids, plaits and knots because it is probably one of the easiest and cheapest ways to "decorate" yourself - no ink or needles needed. Tattooing and scarification have been found on mummified bodies all over the place. Humans like to decorate themselves and their surroundings. My workplace requires we keep hair either super short or tightly secured and swept off the face and neck with no loose hair (must be flat on head and no fringe) and no obvious clips or pins so plaits, braids and self tucked buns are mandatory for long hair ppl

to me, to wear or have something that is associated with a particular culture isn't appropriation; it's finding beauty in it and wanting to share it with others. what is offensive is when something from a culture is taken to a ridiculous level for the purpose of mocking or shaming or another type of disrespect. there are too many things in the world from differing cultures that are wonderfully beautiful and unique and that need to be shared and appreciated openly regardless of whom is wearing or sporting it.
