Blackstone Edge is an amazing place of mystery, located in the Rochdale area of England.
The area has been used since the Stone Age; we know this because there are still stone age markings on rocks on the hillside, and pottery and other items have been found there.
A little later, the Romans used the area; there is still a fully intact road there that many experts claim was Roman-built. On top of some rocks, I discovered animal skeletal remains of what I believe to be a sheep.
I have no idea how it got there or what had been eating it, but clearly something has been maybe a fox or wildcats.
There have been rumours and even photos of a panther roaming the English countryside, so who knows?
