The Same Artist Who Made People Cry With Her Comic ‘Good Boy’ Just Shared A New One With A Black Cat
Death takes us away in mysterious ways. And while we can’t know for sure when or how we’ll leave this world, it’s the fact itself that we have to make peace with. Exploring the possibilities of the afterlife, artist Jenny Jinya created a few sad comics, and they’re really touching as well.
One is about a good boy who passed away a lot sooner than you’d expect, and the other sad story is about an equally good lady whose black fur stopped a lot of people from getting to know her.
While these cartoon drawings deal with a difficult subject matter, Jenny has found a way to present death as something hopeful, rather than devastating. And who knows, maybe it isn’t as bad as we picture it?

“There are dozens of posters and infographics with various statistics about abused or abandoned animals. Many know the problems, but such information is quickly forgotten,” Jenny told Bored Panda. “I try to give a voice to the victims with my sad drawings. I want the affected pet animals to be able to tell their own stories. I hope I can raise awareness this way.”
The artist said she can’t decide if death is just a state or the beginning of a new adventure: “Who knows. I’m not the one to answer that. But I like to imagine death as a person who is just doing their job. People hate them for what they’re doing, but in the end, someone has to do it. I like to imagine Death to be a gentle and insightful being.”
Here’s another similar comic that Jenny made earlier
“For all I know, we could be part of the biggest MMORPG in the whole universe, but there’s no way of knowing it,” Jenny concluded. “Now go and hug your pet!”
People started relating to the first strip by sharing pictures of their black kitties
I literally just stopped crying due to depression like an hour ago and now this.
This is so sad yet beautiful... What a nice way to portrait death and the sadness that comes with it
Ani: I can understand your comment in relation to the dog (I mean: everyone loves a "happy ending", right?) BUT..what/where is the cat's "reward"? She was run over O.N PURPOSE...WHO did THAT benefit??
Load More Replies...I rarely cry at stuff like this but I completely lost it at this. Especially "It's ok. You'll never be cold again, or left behind."
This breaks my heart. Someone had shot my sweet Pepper, a gorgeous black house panther with the most affectionate disposition and a purr that was even bigger than he was, before he found me gardening in my yard 16 summers ago. He died this past August after a two-year battle with congestive heart failure. It seems extra cruel that he died from having a big heart. He took such faithful care of his big feline brother, his big feline sister and his little feline sister before him and his little feline sister, who joined our family at the end of last year, and me. There are no words that accurately convey how much I miss him.
Jackie, I am very sorry for your loss of Pepper. He sounds like a right love. Whoever shot him was cruel and evil. I don't agree with people's stigma attached to black cats or any cats. I have heard many times: "What are you getting so worked up about? It's just a cat.". No, it is not just a cat. It deserves love, affection, food, and a good home just like any being. Bless you, Pepper, and your kitties.
Load More Replies...And now I want to see a followup comic of when the old woman passes away (yes another death but hear me out) and the cat greeting her lovingly and explaining that she didn't leave willingly. And then they will be together in heaven
And now YOU made me cry as well. But it would be a beautiful addition to the comic for sure.
Load More Replies...Everytime i read a sad story about a cat or a dog or any animal, i hug my cat and let him know he will never know hows to not be loved . I wish those animals get somebody to tell them the same one day
Where I live, shelters can't adopt out black animals for the whole month of October b/c people get wound up and do horrible sh*t to the black animals. So, yeah, I'm bawling...
Leo: I agree with you. Humans are not so enlightened that we think that we can be stewards of the animal world. Most of us are scourges upon the world.
