But your struggles are not meaningless and stupid because of that. There will always be someone better off and someone worse off.
I usually give them a reason after they hate me for none. Just to be fair.
Damn this hurts because I have often been that bottom line of the quote.
well yeah, no... i disagree if it is a busy day and my kids, my Grandma and my Husband etc. do need their needs met by me, and 15 conversations are going of on my phone, than yes i am actually to busy to respond. If it is important please call, if not there can be a gap until an answer... That is not meant to hurt you, just you have to distribute my resources.
Studies have shown that increased money does correlate with increased happiness .
Only after being able to live comfy and worry-free, which is 100k a year in the USA iirc.
Load More Replies..."Money can't buy happiness" is a lie we get told over and over again by the people who own most of all the money and resources.
What? What rich person says money sucks? It's poor people who want to lie to themselves and place blame anywhere but in the mirror. Having money kicks a*s! Once you get rid of money arguments at home, can easily pay the bills/take vacation/buy s**t, it's like a giant weight is lifted off your shoulders.
Load More Replies...$$$ doesn't buy happiness, but it sure feels good to be able to pay bills and buy some food. In the same week.
Yeah no one is happier because she/he can't buy food/clothes for his kids...
It just doesn't guarantee it. Because there's more to life than paying bills and having the stuff you want.
Well, maybe not true emotional happiness, but having been on both ends...plenty if money and poor as hell...I can say that having a sufficient amount definitely makes life easier. I'm not talking about an excess, mind you - but having enough to cover your NEEDS (as opposed to just wants) definitely reduces stress and gives enough peace of mind so that you are able to enjoy things. So, in that sense, yes, it does.
Anyone who's says other wise will either never have money or doesn't want you to have it
Oh let me think about it...having enough money so am i being able to pay for my rent and phone, to buy food and all the essentials i need to survive...well fu... wonder why that would make me happy
Money can buy physical and evident well being but not happiness. Happiness is a subtle emotion and has no monetary value. You can also have some peace of mind in apparence. It looks like happiness but it is not in the end. There are many other studies that explain this.
I, personally, disagree with this. Money can buy basic needs. It can't create happiness which you have to find in yourself and with support of friends and family. I've never been poorer in my life but I'm the happiest I've ever been.
Happiness in my opinion is fleeting. Money too is fleeting. No matter how much one has, there is anxiety over how to replace what is spent. Contentment is a more reasonable goal.
Look this is as false as the opposite saying, money only buys happiness if you know what to invest in, it can be very temporary and you'll just waste a lot of money or it might make you unhappy because of all the bad investments and people coming after you, i'm sure there is a third category who does just fine making smart investments and keeping themselves happy buying the stuff they truly need. Don't let a picture think for you, what i'm saying here isn't profound at all.
yeah, those rich people that are not happy is just not spending it right
I'm happier flying first class than economy. I'm happier living in a nicer part of down. I'm happier if I can afford to send my kid to the best private school. I'm happier eating in a Michelin star restaurant than McDonald's. I'm happier if I can choose my work instead of needing to take whatever is available.
to some degree, I guess. not happiness per say, not the long lasting one that comes from feeling at peace with yourself and your life choices, but comfort for sure
You can afford things that are fun to do/have, but it eventually wears thin.
Money does not always by happiness but lack of money almost always correlates to lack of happiness
I strongly disagree with this one. There are some things that you can't buy no matter how rich you are, and this is one of the most powerful source of depression.
I'm assuming you haven't been on both sides of the equation then because I have yet to meet anyone who has who disagrees with the potato. "I've been rich and I've been poor. Rich is better" . Mae West.
Load More Replies...No, what money can buy is a lack of worry over survival level issues. Happiness is a different thing, and money cannot buy that.
Of FFS, stop being so pedantic. That's like saying 24/7 bacon won't make you fat, it's the consumption of the bacon that does.
Load More Replies...Sure it can! If you have money you can go adopt a dog (or other animal) from the shelter!
So living like a monk on bread and water makes you happy?
Load More Replies...Again... Rubbish. Dealing with a family death is more difficult with an eviction notice on your dining table.
If money can buy happiness, why rich people also commit suicide ?? If you are sad you can be in Seychelles or the most beautiful and luxurious place in the world and you will still seeing all black and white, without color and joy.
I have only one person in my life that has that power. My brother, we are very close. Everybody else can f**k off.
Forgive someone for your own sake, not for theirs. The only one really hurt when you hold a grudge is you. You're either missing out on a good relationship because of ego, or you're wasting your time thinking of someone who doesn't give a s**t about you.
George Harrison once sang about that very thing. I still have the album. All-things...933f15.jpg
Baked potato changed my life, baked potato showed me the way
Even though it might bruise your brain, it is worthwhile to learn and use good grammar.
EVEN THOUGH IT MIGHT BRUISE YOUR BRAIN, IT'S WORTH USING GOOD GRAMMAR.
There is no such thing as soul mates, even a basic understanding of math shows the entire concept is ludicrous.
"You don't have to wait for an apology to forgive".... Maybe not, but anyone who doesn't apologize, Doesn't WANT forgiveness. Don't give it to them for Free. t
They don't have to know you forgave then though. You do it for yourself.

Every generation grows up, sees some of the world for what it always has been and thinks "Holy s**t, I've figured out what's really going on! Oh noez! I must spread this never before found wisdom".
Load More Replies...I can't tell if this is meant to be sarcastic or not. Money can buy happiness??? Most of them are just clichés anyway.
If money can get you the things that make you personally happy, then yes, it can buy happiness. And happiness is, as we all know, subjective.
